Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really fun course. grass is pretty good condition seeing as the weather has been bad.
friendly staff and a really good course for a quick game.
decent variety of holes but can get a bit repetitive if you do all 18.

Prices were okay but may be more expensive if you use their clubs.

would recommend bringing older shoes if the weather has been bad as there isn’t any paths made inbetween holes

Did this Pitch & Put with my family (2 adults & teenagers: 13,15,17). I wasn’t sure if it would be suitable as none of us are golfers but with the age of the kids they sometimes want more than crazy golf. This was quite challenging but definitely doable with teenagers and non-golfers. The views were spectacular. You could easily spend 3-4 hours here taking in the views and your time on each hole (there are 18) but they shut the kiosk at 5.30 so if like us you don’t arrive early enough you can skip a few holes. On the phone we were told to arrive no later than 3.30 not realising we could easily while away much longer. Would definitely come again if we were in this area but next time give ourselves longer.

What a fantastic place, which as golf club members totally exceeded our expectations. The course was in great condition and the views, especially from the 18th tee are amazing. Takes less than two hours even with a little sit down on the bench after the 8th green. The chap in the hut was very friendly and helpful. Well worth the money. Best £9 we spent all holiday. We actually had more fun playing here than at one of the ‘proper’ golf courses nearby.

Course is in a great location but there are a couple of major gripes:

To be charged extra for club hire that is not refunded at the end of the round is ridiculous for a pitch and putt course and made the outing for 4 adults far too expensive.

The greens were in in very poor condition. I know this is not St Andrews but it made putting almost a total lottery.

We arrived at the hut to pay just as some serious rain had stopped so there was nobody ahead of us on the course at all. We were just putting out on the first green when a group of 4 came form the hut, missed the first hole and walked straight to the second tee. When I asked them what they were doing they said the woman in the hut had told them to do it! We then had to wait on the tee on every hole for the rest of the round, which was very frustrating as we knew it should have been clear for us to play.

Outstanding views throughout the course. Great fun for all ages. More expensive than perhaps we’d paid before but we shared our clubs which reduced the cost. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend

I have played on this course several times now - it is 18 holes and a round takes around 2 hours to complete. The course is situated opposite the Shaldon Zoo and you get two hours free parking in the pay and display car park if you're playing golf.

The course itself is very well looked after and picturesque, with good views across to Teignmouth. Holes range form 70 to 130 yards or so, with most being par 3s. The course is slightly hilly, so some may find a round a little tiring, but I always find that this course is well worth the effort to play at. It does get a little busy during the holidays but is open all year. Overall if you like pitch and put I would recommend the course. The price is around £5.00 per round plus a deposit for clubs.

This is a great course for amateur golfers and holidayers in particular.

It's simple pitch and putt, meaning you park up and use your own clubs or rent them at the little hut at the entrance (which is what we did), pay for a round and then get to it - no stuffiness or hassle.

The first few holes have amazing views of the sea and Teignmouth across the bridge, as other reviewers have noted. Further along there are also good views of the sea from the other side of Shaldon and some hills that seem popular with hikers. The course is also very well kept and managed, making it quite picturesque.

It being on Shaldon means it's a very steep course, especially the first few holes, and it's also full length, so keep this in mind; be prepared for quite the work out and allow for a good 2-3 hours if you want to complete the course. Sensible shoes are advised and I'd also recommend taking a drink up with you - neither of us did and by the time we reached the top we wished we had. There are a handful of benches dotted around and a hiking route divides the course (with more benches and views over the sea), so you could even stop and picnic if you wanted to.

The holes themselves are all fairly similar - straight drives of varying lengths, very few obstacles, and no bunkers or water hazards. This means it's not as interesting as some other courses because the holes are all very familiar, but there's still plenty of challenge involved because of uneven terrain in particular.

We recommend it and will be back next year.

This is one of the best Pitch and Putt golf courses you will play, £8 if you bring your own clubs. The greens may not be the best, but the challenge and the views make up for this. Two or three of the holes would fit well on a full size 18 hole Course. apart from the greens, the course is well maintained and as golfer myself , i always enjoy the challenge of this course.

This is my favourite pitch 'n' putt by far. Varied holes, good lengths and fun to complete. Can be a bit windy sometimes but the views over the bay far outweigh this. The price to play is fair and the course is well maintained.

Just the two of us playing on a really hot sunny day. Lovely setting overlooking the sea with a welcome breeze. It was £10 per person which included two clubs and two balls, plus £3 per person deposit for the clubs/balls. Good fun and recommended.
