Compare this with the prices others charge and you will see what great value it is. We have access to several different flying sites, some of them deep in the heart of Exmoor. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such an enjoyable experience. Nigel was really knowledgeable and the birds were beautiful. Our boys loved it too and said they’d remember the experience for ever! Thank you so much again 🤩

Nigel was informative, amusing and didn't seem to mind non-stop questions. A generous hour with a Harris hawk and the most beautiful barn owl. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is called a hawk walk but don't be put off by the thought that you will be walking for the whole hour. We moved around one field to get different flying positions but didn't have to expend much energy.

This was the perfect experience for Aubrey who has problems with large numbers of people. The gentle introduction to the birds and the calmness of it all made it a very enjoyable and interesting hour. He loved the connection with the hawk and owl. Thank you.

Wow ....... This morning is one to remember. Nigel was very explanatory in all aspects regarding the introduction to falconry and the hands-on experience the family had with Hotspur on our walk and we even got to see the beautiful little owl too. Thoroughly enjoyable, thoroughly recommended, and what a lovely gentleman Nigel was.

Thank you. It’s always a thrill to have the hawk glide into land on your fist. Falconry has a very long and interesting history. Up until a couple of hundred years ago,it was something that practically everyone either did ,or knew a lot about. Training a hawk is so totally unlike training a dog or horse that we have to develop a different mindset. It’s probably very good for the human sense of self-importance to realise that the hawk doesn’t actually think we are anything very special. Anyway,it’s fascinating and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

My husband booked this for me as I love bird, I really enjoyed it. I didn't know what to expect but Nigel explained everything I needed to know about Harris hawk's, and watching him fly and landing on my arm so I could feed him was brilliant. Would definitely recommend this, and will book again if where down this way again on holiday.

Thank you. There is something fascinating about birds, especially the very big one with claws that has just flown a hundred metres to land on your fist! I have several different flying locations and each of them gives us the opportunity to learn something different about the birds. I hope you can come again.

Our very first hawk walk, what a fabulous experience. Nigel was a great teacher who clearly explained every aspect of managing and looking after hawks. Hotspur (the hawk) put on a great display. Highlight was him landing on your gauntleted hand and eating a tasty treat! Thoroughly recommend this unique experience for everyone, great fun! Thank you Nigel for a great adventure!

Thank you. Hotspur, although young, is coming along nicely and getting pretty good at interacting with customers. He’s unusual in that he really doesn’t mind people touching or stroking him. ( Within limits!). My hawks get used to me doing it, but usually don’t see why they should put up with it from anyone else. They are all individuals with their own personalities.

Ulysses the barn owl did a very good impression of Hedwig at the local library Harry Potter day. Well done for organising that. The barn owl has got to be everyone’s favourite bird!

We went on the 90 min walk from Halse Farm and it was a brilliant experience. We were kitted out with a glove each and once we were safely in the field we were given the opportunity to hold and fly the hawk. Nigel was extremely knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about this magnificent bird. I would thoroughly recommend this experience and would definately look to book again if we are visiting the area. Thank you Nigel for a great morning.

My husband and I had a amazing experience with the Hawks walk. Not only did we had hand on experience, with the hawk and owl landing and feeding on our gloved hands, nigel who runs it was very informative, we learnt alot about the birds. I would recommend this experience highly. Going to book a voucher that last fir 12 months for my son and his family for a Xmas present.

I'm afraid it's that time of year where we have to try and find an unusual present to give someone. Giving an experience has got to be better than just more stuff. But the I'm biased!

This was a really brilliant personalised experience! In a world where everything is done commercialised on mass busy etc this was truly back to nature.

Nigel was great and spent time to listen and answer my sons questions and explained lots about the birds.

The birds were happy to sit on our arms and fly to our arms so was a brilliant hands on experience where you get to be involved rather than just watching.

Hotspur the Harris hawk was great, just wondering if he's named after a certain football club!

The pub that you meet at is worth a visit we had lunch there after and was good.

Thanks

Thanks Nigel and Hotspur! 🪶

Thank you. By keeping the experience limited to one family group, I'm able to tailor it so that everyone gets something out of it. It is all very much about being involved, as you experienced. Seeing a bird of prey in the distance or in a falconry display is one thing. Having it land on YOUR fist and look you in the eye is something else.
