Aerosaurus Balloons is a family-run company offering champagne hot air balloon flights throughout the South West of England. As the largest hot air balloon flight operator in the Westcountry, we have over 25 years’ experience and have flown more than 70,000 passengers over some of the most beautiful and spectacular landscapes in the UK including Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, The Blackdown Hills, The Quantocks, Stonehenge and the Jurassic Coast.

Booked as a birthday gift for my wife who listed a balloon flight as one of her lifetime ambitions. Fantastic experience for both of us. From booking to rolling up the balloon after the flight everything was professionally managed ensuring that everyone had the trip of a lifetime. As a commercial pilot myself I was massively impressed by the conduct of the launch crew and pilot on the day. We were lucky in that the weather gods smiled on our selected date and we got airborne (literally!) on our first attempt. It was a beautiful evening and we will remember the views across our home county of Somerset for ever. A true Bucket List experience.

Wow. What an amazing company. Couldn't be more helpful. I cant reccomend this wonderful company enough. They went above and beyond to help us. First flight was cancelled due to weather but we were lucky enough that the weather was on our side the second attempt and within the same week. Thank you Jo (booking office). As for the flight its self, incredible experiance. The pilot, Barry was so knowledgeable and made our more nervous family members feel completely at ease. We were involved in the whole process of putting up the balloon and taking it all down again, the kids and adults all had a wonderful time. 5 stars.

This was the best experience of my life! It was a case of 4th time lucky but I expected that because Cornwall is such a narrow county,
Everything was explained really well and you were made to feel part of the experience.
Everyone that has seen my photos has been really impressed - would recommend this to everyone.

Can only agree with Sarah from Plymouth review above. Didn’t get to go hot air ballooning due to the company’s ridiculous booking policy. I tried 3 times to go ballooning- each time was called off due to adverse weather conditions - clearly, not the company’s fault. But what is their fault is not being allowed to roll over vouchers. I live in London and it’s not easy or cheap to keep committing to dates that may never happen. feel completely ripped off - they’ve taken my money and provided zero service.

I can't rate this experience as it hasn't happened and isn't likely to. We paid in good faith for an experience we were hoping would be one we would treasure. Our flights have been cancelled 3 times and there are no other options for us to book before the end of the flying season - which is only for 5 months not the 12 the tickets are for. We wanted to fly from Cornwall and although we fully appreciate decisions not to fly are based correctly on weather and safety it feels we are backed into a corner by the terms and conditions. As we can't book more flights due to the fact there aren't any, we will have to pay more money to extend our voucher. We are not sure we will bother because at the moment we just want to put this very disappointing and frustrating experience behind us.

10/10 What a wonderful trip. My daughter and myself had an early morning flight from Taunton. Our Pilot Barry was great and really informative during the whole trip. The crew were amazing they really involved you with all the inflating and deflating of the Balloon (only if you wanted to help). the flight was so peaceful and seeing the wildlife first thing in the morning was fantastic. I would definitely recommend a balloon flight with Aerosaurus. I am hoping to also do an evening flight at some stage. Go on book it, you know you will love it!!

I had booked gift for big birthday. Then added an afternoon flight for more availability for an extra cost. That was a joke as not many was available, That was cancelled so booked again. Not many available for afternoon flights. Booked onto then morning flights, where possible, only having one cat and a child in school was hard to get to destination for early o'clock and make arrangements with child to school. Having booked annual leave each time working long days both of us, ment one of us having to book 15hrs each time we booked a flight. To then have them all cancelled, we was available 4 times and 4 cancellations later our ticket has expired and no way am I paying extra to extend the depressing experience! There are limited times to fly, specially if you cannot travel rediculous miles, we dont all have that luxury on our side. It's the planning the lead up and the disappointment of the cancellation. For what was a 50th Bday gift was a very expensive let down. Never again. I would never promote a balloon ride, purely on the loss of money
We searched many times for other flights but they wasn't listed or fully booked, maybe backlog of cancellations due to covid catch up or something, then they shouldn't sell the vouchers!!
I just wonder how many people are letting hundreds of pounds fill the companies bank account for nothing. With no follow up customer services, incredible !

Early morning flight from Henstridge Airfield over Dorset on Wed 11 August.
What a wonderful and ejoyable experience!!!
The crew were fantastic and helpful, getting us involved with setting up the balloon and taking it down again, which we felt really added to the fun.
The pilot, Barry ("the good looking one") was very knowledgable and informative, answering the many questions fired at him. His stories were fascinating to hear and added to the experience.
We would definitely recommend this to anyone, and would look forward to another flight with Aerosaurus.

Weekday morning balloon flight from Wincanton race course. July 2022. I got this as a treat for my wife who's birthday it was and actually paid Bailey Balloons so as we found out Aerosaurs is a sister company. Do not let that put you off. The staff were great. Helpful, human, funny and knowledgeably skilled at doing what they do running these flights. The day was perfect. All our questions (and more) were answered perfectly and the champagne/orange juice on landing was brilliant... Thanks guys. Highly recommended

Absolutely fabulous hot air balloon flight! We met early in the morning and was able to assist with setting up the balloon for the flight and understanding how it works … once we got in the air it was magical! Barry, our pilot, was very informative and funny! He made the experience one to remember! We were fortunate to see some amazing sights and had a very smooth landing … all in all this is an experience we won’t forget and are keen to do again.
The whole crew (can’t remember all their names but there was Sam and an American chappy) were so accommodating, upbeat and added to our fab experience.
Thank you all for making a cherished memory for the pair of us!

How much would a trip tomorrow cost for 2 people.

Our flights cost £140 per person for our Anytime Voucher which is valid for weekends and includes about an hour's flight but the whole experience will last 3-4 hours with setting up the balloon, the flight itself, packing the balloon away, Champagne and a flight certificate.
