Good place to walk or cycle all year round. Easy going and peaceful. Refreshment available in the "on season months" and horse drawn barge meander as well. Tranquility just outside the town.

We just missed a trip on the horse drawn barge so took a walk along the canal. Very pleasant and peaceful. The tow path is well used by walker and cyclists and dog walkers

We took the two and a half hour trip and it was so peaceful, especially the two minutes silence on the way back. It was like stepping back in time - just the clip clop of Ruby’s hooves and the water lapping against the boat....More

What a fantastic day. Lovely family run business. Great trip. Being pulled by a horse was amazing. Very informative commentary. We had to keep quiet for 2 mins. All we could hear was the horse walking, the water lapping and birds. Great value trip.

An enjoyable 2.5 hours in a horse drawn barge. Staff friendly and informative. Hot drinks on board very expensive - 3 x hot chocolates and 1x Baileys hot chocolate = £14.00. Ruby the Clydesdale horse was beautiful and very well behaved. She looked well kept...More

This was the highlight of my holiday. So peaceful - especially during the 2 minutes silence. The clip clop of Ruby the horse, the lapping of the water and the sound of the birds. I could have stayed on all day. Excellent commentary but not...More

This was one of the most peaceful 2 and 3/4 hours we spent in 2 weeks in Devon. We turned up just as the boat was leaving and they very kindly delayed departure whilst we paid our car park and bought the tickets. We hopped...More
