A nice Sunday lunch here but nothing really stood out. Roast lamb, roast pork, all the trimmings, rather plain cooking. We couldn’t help comparing it with other favourite Sunday lunch venues in Dorset and it didn’t really pass the test despite the beautiful location, prompt...More

Booked a table on a Thursday evening. Initially thought we might be the only people there, but it actually got very busy. Food was pretty good - from pub-type Steak and Ale pie to more sophisticated fish and meat dishes.

Don't miss this restaurant. Off the beaten path? Sure, but as lovely as a big city's best. The food delicious and the pub's environment restful and enticing. And the staff make you feel as if they were waiting just for you. Well done.
