If you would like to know how the castle would have looked before destruction by Cromwell in 1646, a visit to the model village shows Corfe Castle and the village in 1/20th scale. Set in beautiful Purbeck surroundings, also with giant games, enchanted fairy garden, working stocks and pillories and croquet. There is on site the Courtyard Tea Room for good quality reasonably priced snacks with a wide range of gluten free options.

We were on holiday in Weymouth, taken the Steam Train to Corfe & came across The Model Village, o.k. not the biggest, but it was good to see how the Castle would have looked in it's prime. The owner was walking around talking to people,...More

It was good to see the model of Corfe Castle as it used to be, and some of the smaller houses were very interesting. There were other attractions like a Fairy Grotto and Giant Connect 4 and pleasant gardens. Nice cafe and small gift shop...More

We thought we'd look round the model village to see what we'd missed of the real village. It was intetesting to see the castle whole and the animated guards were funny.

Not the biggest model village but still made with a lot of love and care. Absolutely beautifully maintained - grass pristine and buildings lovingly cared for. For adults maybe an hours pleasure but for a young family lots of games for them to enjoy as...More
