Family-Friendly Visitor centre with information about Chesil Beach and its wildlife. Bird watching, views under the sea, gifts, boardwalk to the beach and lots more... The centre is run by friendly, knowledgeable, local volunteers and is open 7 days a week, from 10am-4pm before Easter and 10am-5pm after Easter. The Fine Foundation Centre is halfway along the causeway between Weymouth ans Portland on the A354 (Portland Beach road - DT4 9XE) There is a pay and display council owned carpark. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR THE DWT CENTRE AND NOT THE TASTE CAFE.

Stopped off here and ended up having meal. Really nice food and friendly service. Huge windows overlooking fleet fantastic and easy access straight onto the bank/beach. Did get noisy with one group so if a busy day, perhaps if they have school visits, can believe...More

Gift shop is super expensive, but the little activities they've got there are great for kids. We stopped off here to use the toilets on our way up to Portland Bill

We visited here for rest after an 8 mile walk along the coast. A little pricey and the tea wasn't proper tea!! Some interesting information to read but short on souvenirs.

Great displays and volunteers on hand to answer questions. Worth a stop in to learn more about the UNESCO Chesil Beach.

Beautifully done -we only stopped for a quick look and ice creams but I would imagine it is nice for lunch. A huge car park and great for access onto Chesil Bank.
