The effort to walk down to this secluded pebble beach is well worth making. I visited with a group of friends (over 50's) and we spent a very silly morning building pebble towers and playing beach Olympic's. As we were there in late Autumn we virtually had the whole cove to ourselves apart from a few local dog walkers. The... More

We walked down the public foot path, through the woods on a slightly misty March morning, a bit slippery under foot so took it slowly. Through the arch way to the pirates grave yard. Absolutely stunning, tried to read some of the stones, but a bit old and worn. Fantastic view to cove below. As weather wasn't too good said... More

An awesome natural pebbles beached cove on the east side of Portland. Wander down from the free car park through the old church ruins. Check out the pirates graves before making your way down to the beach. Climb all the steps back up and under he bridge to Bow and arrow castle. Superb

There are very steep steps to get to the cove but worth the walk. Also a great coastal path above it.

a tricky but stunningly beautiful walk down through the forest and the ruins of an old graveyard leads you to Church Ope Cove and a lovely pebble beach. When we visited the cove was deserted, there are huts tucked onto the cliffs that I assume get more use in the summer months, we spent some time just enjoying the quiet... More

A Lovely hidden cove which u access down a steep coastal path . It feels very secluded and it's very picturesque , we walked up through the ruined 13th century church , and we also saw some pirate graves which was interesting

Beautiful scenery but to go down to the cove is a serious number of steps straight down so as a disabled person with mobility issues - not something I could do but it was nice to see from above

Its a bit of a hike down steep steps from the village, but very worth it. Its a lovely rocky cove with quaint beach huts. Remote and peaceful
