About
The Official Test Centre (OTC) is a watersports specialist centre located right on the water’s edge, within the grounds of the National Sailing Academy on Portland, Dorset. Accessible at any tide state and exposed to the best wind statistics on the south coast, The OTC caters for windsurfing, kitesurfing, windfoiling, wing-foiling, kayaking and SUP and has an affiliated school (RYA/BKSA/AALA accredited) to cater for all abilities. The centre has the very latest equipment on hand to test and compare. And once you've chosen your match, it is available to purchase in their shop: Surfdoctor.com

My son and I had a Fliteboard experience at OTC this weekend. It was awesome! We were looked after fantastically well, with the appropriate safety briefing and measures taken, we had an exhilarating ride and progressed from no experience to flying after a short period of time. The team at OTC were welcoming and fun - highly recommended.

Great place! Superb windsurfing lesson from Izzy, friendly staff, and excellent cafe and facilities at the adjacent Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.

I would just like to thank Scotty and Maurin for accommodating a slightly unusual request. As someone with severe hearing loss, on-water tuition isn't practical, therefore I needed a bespoke session to work through some theory and practice on the simulators. Nothing was too much trouble... even the numpty questions from me! Would definitely recommend

Attended OTC for a Fliteboard experience. Great great fun, couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces despite it being November and windy!!
Great attentive, knowledgeable staff and good range of kit. All of our group progressed and felt like we had gained new, or improved existing skills.
Fantastic location for windsurfing, wing foiling etc lots of courses going on and all seemed to be running like clockwork.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon spent with these guys trying to teach two complete novices, very patient and informative. All done in a very relaxed manor. Would recommend to anyone. Keep up the good work!

The dream? To wing foil obviously! The reality? Couldn't even stand up on a paddle board!
However, none of this phased the endlessly patient, friendly and very motivational team.
After two hours I was soaking wet, knackered but had the biggest smile on my face. Have booked two more sessions already.
100% a top notch experience.
