Wonderful place for a walk along the beach or heath. We parked at Shell Beach and did a loop along the beach then back along heather walk it was gorgeous.

I love this beach and have been here many times over the years. Its a Blue flag area with lovely sandy beaches, and shallow sea. There is an area where nudists can sunbath so just be aware if your walking along by the Dunes!

The best time to visit this place is out of season. Deserted beaches, stunning views of the Isle of Wight, and Bournemouth and some lovely trails up to either Poole or old Harry rocks. Come here during the summer holidays and it is a different story it's beauty makes it so popular

What an amazing place, glorious beaches and miles and miles of heathland too - hours of walks to explore, the place is criss-crossed with public footpaths. We parked at Shell Beach, walked round to Studland beach and the amazing NT beach cafe - a great spot to pause a while and watch the flocks of very tame chaffinchs take their... More

Knoll beach is fabulous for families. Great clean facilities, national trust cafe, toilets and shop. Outside foot shower. Easy access for disabled down to beach within a few feet. A super day out walking along the beach or special paths near the dunes. I like to go every year and hire a beach hut for a few days. Great for... More

This is one of our favourite dog walks. The dogs have such fun and it's a lovely clean beach with a little cafe at the end (which can be absolutely rammed in summer). It's obviously busy during holidays but if you can get there during the week or on an ordinary weekend out of "season" it's wonderful.
