Brilliant area my wife are amature photographers and really were looking forward to seeing the wildlife indemic to the area Just a pity that numerous dogs uncontrolled - not on a leash and having to mind your step so as not to step into dog landmines spoilt it

Beautiful beach to walk along and you can see such a long distance away towards Sandbanks, Poole, Bournemouth etc. There are buckets and spades at the side of the beach for children to use which is really good. Great place to take the family.

We visited this on a hot day in the school holidays in the week but it seems everyone was there. Traffic and parking were chaotic and there was barely space to walk along the beach so we ended up paddling in the sea. National trust cafe was ok but kept running out of things and service was very slow.

A great beach to walk with the Dog. Owned by the National Trust and very well kept. Be warned part of it is a Naturists Beach. If you are lucky at sunset you could be rewarded by a murmuration of starlings.

There is nowhere on earth like Studland Beach to get you feeling great. Lovely long, invigorating walks from Shell Bay to Knole Beach ... and back again (about 4.5 miles according to our Fitbit) with a stop for cake and coffee in the cafe at Knole. Perfect! I used to holiday here as a child. Now we take our kids... More

This is a beautiful area which is extremely popular all year round but especially in the summer. You can walk on the beach or enjoy a walk across the more internal harbour area on the other side of the road looking for lizards, birds and a variety of other wildlife. Watch out for adders in the spring.

This is a must see/do if you're visiting Swanage for more than a day. Hikers heaven. Harry Rocks are breathtaking.

It was amazing trip even if the weather was rainy and cloudy :) We walk along the mud and enjoy the silence and the wind noise like a mix :) Thank you Old Harry.

Lovely beach, excellent views and great for walking. However, the National Trust coffee shop was not a good experience, long queues, inefficient staff and stale food. We had to return half of our order as we couldn't eat it, I had slops spilt on me by a member of staff carrying too much when clearing tables, we waiting almost half... More
