- william FFigueres, Spain3 contributionsFantastic experience from the moment you arrive! We had a fantastic time on the weekend Bushcraft level 2 course recently. Prior to the course we were slightly concerned if this was for us as complete novices but we were so pleased we booked on. The instructors are first class, with so much knowledge and passion for their profession , and really knew how to convey this in an approachable and educational way, they really made the whole weekend completely enjoyable. The course itself has been well planned and thought out so you’re definitely not left wondering what to do with your time yet not so over burdened that it becomes overwhelming. From start to finish you will have a brilliant time and learn so much, highly recommended! 5 stars ⭐️Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 8 October 2023

All the skills and information taught were well thought through and well communicated. I would definitely recommend 'Wildway bushcraft' to anyone interested in bushcraft. - Seaside483156945821 contributionGreat fun day, we learnt a lotTop day, we loved this! Learnt a lot, from carving to making a fire to understanding what plants are around in the woods and what they can be used for. 10 year old son especially inspired - definitely going to be putting some of this into practice. Very recommendedVisited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 October 2023
- Harry CampUnited Kingdom1 contributionWildway BushcraftMe and my girlfriend have done a few courses with Wildway now and have enjoyed every one of them. The instructors are very engaging and knowledgeable about bushcraft. We also found the pace of the courses perfect and have learnt loads! We will definitely be doing more courses with Wildway and would recommend anyone interested in bushcraft to book on with these guys :)Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 November 2023
- T M1 contributionFriction fire lighting course.Although we both have knowledge in fire lighting, neither of us had tried friction fire lighting, before. The day was fantastic and the instructors were knowledgeable and patient. They helped where needed but we were not rushed and were able to go at our own pace. We would highly recommend to anyone, we plan to do another course in the near future.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 April 2024
- KirShara2 contributionsGreat course, great instructors, highly recommendI had an amazing time at Wildway. Even though it's an introductory course it packs a lot in (and you will be tired by the final day for sure). But what makes it really great is both the breadth and depth of knowledge the instructors have thanks to years of experience and learning. Meaning they were able to go above and beyond the instruction and answer all of our questions. So we all learnt so much more on the course than was stated in course outline. And a shout out to Stacey, who's foraging knowledge is borderline encylopeadic!Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 5 May 2024
- Debbie CChristchurch, United Kingdom8 contributionsFantastic weekend of bushcraftMy 11 daughter is really interested in bushcraft and survival skills so it was with some trepidation we embarked on the weekend bushcraft course. I wasn’t sure I’d cope with sleeping under tarp in the dubious British climate but you’ve got to support your kids interests so off we went. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived and went straight into the “classroom” to learn how to do the knots and carve pegs required to set up camp. We then prepared dinner (I won’t spoil the surprise) and later settled down in our new patch. Over a jam packed weekend we learnt about foraging, water purification, fish filleting, skinning, fire lighting, wood carving, cordage, axe and knife use as well as the kit needed and how to look after equipment. It’s seriously one of the best weekends I’ve had in a long time. The instructors knowledge is incredible and they deliver all the sessions in a captivating way. They are also very patient in explaining and helping with the different skills you are learning. My daughter and I had such a great weekend with like minded people who have a passion for the great outdoors. Far from regretting my decision to book this course I came away wanting more knowledge and to build on what I have learnt so far. It was so good we are booked on 3 further courses this year and would strongly urge anyone unsure of joining one of these weekends to just do it - you won’t regret it.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 May 2024
- Safari290192117833 contributionsLevel 2Fantastic weekend with great instructors, really enjoyed learning new skills and meeting like minded people. The food was great on the level 2 course. Even though it poured it down the facilities and the equipment we were given withstood the weather.Visited July 2024Travelled soloWritten 7 July 2024
- WoodyChungaHemel Hempstead, United Kingdom26 contributionsOne Day TasterJust wanted to feedback what a great day we had on the one day taster course. We could have spent hours and hours on the hands-on activities which were good fun and also quite therapeutic. However, we did cover a lot of areas such a fire starting, knife work, tarpology, cordage and little foraging walk to round off the day. The team were friendly and very knowledgeable, so we did get a good taster of all things bushcraft. It’s also a lovely spot to escape to. The party I was with is keen to explore further courses in the future which highlights you have a great business model and company ethos. Hope to come back again soon. All the best,Visited August 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 19 August 2024

Excellent weekend of level 2 bushcraft training. The instructors are exceptional well informed, positive and genuinely wanted us to have the best weekend. The sessions covered were wide ranging , all fascinating and useful. After each session I could feel my confidence growing and no question went unanswered. We had plenty of time to learn and practise each new skill as well as go back during breaks to carry on if we wanted too. The kettle was permanently on, plenty of tea/coffee and biscuits and the instructors were happy to share their experiences with us. Just the best weekend... I've immediately signed up for the assessment weekend an planning on a family session as well!

Booked on to this to learn more skills as someone with basic knowledge wanting to improve and look to get more in to bushcraft. It turned out way better than I expected! As a female who attends these things solo I am very used to it being a male dominated world and being patronised by blokes, but the guys were absolutely great, supportive, informative and not patronising or condescending at all, I can recommend this for everyone, whatever your knowledge or experience level. I learned so much and had an amazing weekend in the forest. As soon as my schedule allows I will absolutely be attending the level 3 course!

Probably the best course I've been on! Straight into when we arrived with the safety brief and the first of our activities. Great bunch of course-mates and John and Craig clearly know their stuff. They make it fun and accessible for all ability types, never patronising and always encouraging. It makes for a very effective learning environment. We packed so much into Saturday that everyone was absolutely shattered by the evening!
I went comfortable with a bit of knowledge and skill and came away learning more techniques than I ever imagined. The food was also amazing. Prepping the animals was so far out of my comfort zone but was very rewarding.
Can't wait to come back.

What a great weekend - just back from the intermediate carving weekend. I can’t recommend the course enough - not only did it satisfy my carving ‘itch’ I learnt loads via John’s great patience, experience and clear instruction, not to mention tips not available elsewhere. I also wild camped, and met some great people, one of the pinnacles was the conversations sat around the camp fire with a beer or cuppa. If you are thinking about it, don’t, just do it!

I have just finished the weekend bushcraft course and despite not being able to camp due to the current restrictions it was a very enjoyable and informative course.
The instructors were very friendly and welcoming and had excellent knowledge which they pass on in a very relaxed manner. There is no pressure to complete tasks at any given pace and feedback and advice is readily given.
The location is ideal and adds great value to the course and gives a real sense of being with nature.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in learning bushcraft skills.

Had a wonderful weekend with the Wildway guys. I was bought this course as a birthday present and it wildly exceeded my expectations. For two days I got to completely escape from civilisation, I learned really useful new skills, prepared and ate wild game, learned how to camp and forage in the woods, and at the end of each day we had great craic round the campfire. At night I slept on the forest floor warmed by the light from a fire I'd learned to build that day.
John, Craig and Stacey took really good care of us, the lessons were fun and informative, but they still managed to keep it relaxed. Can't recommend this enough.

What an amazing experience we had on the level 2 weekend bushcraft course. Loads covered over the weekend with amazing instructors and great company around the cam fire.
Sleeping out under a tarp in the middle of a wood was a great experience. My most memorable moment was being able to start a fire using friction, using a bow and spindle.
The food was pretty good too, those boys know how to cook!
Would really recommend the weekend, it was something I’d been thinking about for a long time and I’m so glad I decided to book it.
Thanks John and the team, Craig, Stacey and Mark!

This was such a fantastic weekend, I can't recommend it enough. You camp in a stunning woodland and wake up to the birds singing. All the instructors were really experienced and friendly. It was a really mixed group with all ages and levels of experience, so I would recommend if you have never had a chance to do any bushcraft before just as much as if you have your own axe and lots of experience. There is something for everyone. They cater for vegetarians and vegans too.
