After missing puffins on our last trip to Scotland 5 years ago, it was one of the few things on our 'must do' list for this trip. Tip - if you take a boat trip out to Handa Island, off the north-west Scottish coast, then...More

We liked the Isle of May and could have done with a bit more than the two and a half hours on the island which included a short talk before setting off, and reboarding time. As well as walking, picnicking and exploring there were several...More

You feel very safe with the crew on this boat. They are great, particularly as there were a few passengers ill both ways. The crossing was pretty choppy on the way back but all was fine. My only disappointment was the lack of puffins which...More

It was a rough crossing and the incredible crew were very aware of everyone on the boat and how they were, with a fair few of the passengers falling ill. I can't recommend this trip enough for the good natured, experienced crew, and the island...More

I went 3 times this year and loved all three trips. The May Princess crew is knowledgeable and so nice. I was lucky enough to see hundreds of puffins, dozens of seals and even bottle nose dolphins! Thank you skipper for lending me your fleece...More

The day we went, the sea was the roughest in 3 months and lots of people were sea-sick. The crew were fantastic. The island itself is uninhabited except for researchers and mainly unpaved, so rough walking but really worth it to see birds up close...More

This was a great trip to the Isle of May. With about an hour trip out to the island, our group was fortunate to run across dolphins who were very active soon after leaving port. The captain and crew were great, slowing down and positioning...More

Was pleasantly surprised I am not into birds but it was a "back to nature" trip. Even brought a baby puffing on board to let us see and release it at sea.
