About
Bellevue Farm is a family-run, working farm on the scenic Isle of Arran. Offering family tours, fresh farm produce and luxury cottage accommodation – it’s a country escape for all the family. Lasting between 1 and 2 hours, our farm tours and experiences take you to meet the animals and explore the farm. Speak to our very own farmers Donald and Ailsa, collect the morning eggs or feed the alpacas – we can tailor our tours entirely to you! Our tour is a guided walk around the farmyard, finishing in the barn with a coffee. Guests of the tour will take part in tasks like feeding the animals or collecting eggs – it’s more hands on than the farm experience. The experience still allows you to meet the animals and explore the farm but in your own time and with less supervised activities. Perhaps more suited to younger families.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved our visit to Bellevue. Learned lots about the farm, farming and the animals. Held beautiful lambs and met lots of lovely farm animals. It was fun and interactive, even in the cold and rain! Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Tiny gripe - the coffee we had at the end was pretty awful! But that aside I would totally recommend it as a brilliant way to spend a few hours as a family.

An absolutely amazing family day out getting to observe a working farm & learning about it.

The farmers were fun & friendly.

Lots of opportunities to get involved with the animals, treasure hunts, wellies throwing & a playback with so much indide for kids to do.

I would thoroughly recommend the experience

We have just spent October week holidays at the farm and it was fantastic. My young son had s brilliant time as there was lots to do even when the weather wasn't so great. The accomodation was clean, tidy and fully equipped with everything we needed. We are already looking forward to returning.

Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon! Our granddaughter loved it - the adults even more! The donkeys are just beautiful, the alpacas are funny and the baby calf was so friendly. Thank you to Ailsa and Lynn for bringing the cattle and donkeys up to see us - it made our granddaughters day!

Our second visit to Bellevue Farm and we loved every minute. We've visited lots of farms with our kids and this is by far the best. Ailsa is a fantastic guide and has a wonderful way with kids and adults alike. We loved meeting all of the animals, especially the calf. My son's favourite part was feeding the chickens. He was laughing his head off.
Bellevue Farm has a lovely, authentic feeling about it. It is a welcoming and hard working farm. Definitely not to be missed if you visit Arran. If we visit the island again, we will certainly return to the farm. Loved it!

Fantastic family stay in the Sleepy Sheepy Cottage for 7 nights at Bellevue Farm. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and cosy. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and appreciated. Staying on the farm meant we had access to the garden with trampoline and swings. The main bonus being access to the farm barn throughout our duration of our stay. This was excellent for our 2 young children who absolutely loved the on-site amenities. This was especially great for wet days. We received a farm tour during our stay and got to feed the animals. It was excellent staying on the farm seeing all the animals and having local produce to buy in the farm barn. The highlight was Bellevue's own pork links, absolutely delicious. Highly recommended to stay and visit especially for families with young children. Blackwaterfoot is a great location on Arran.

A brilliant family day! The staff were very welcoming and made sure we all had a great experience at the farm. The kids loved meeting all the animals and playing with the various farm toys in the barn. Would definitely recommend!

We visited on recommendation from a friend. And we had a fabulous time! We weren’t sure what to expect but Ailsa who runs the farm with her family was really lovely, informative and engaging. We got to see and get involved with lots of different animals. Even when the heavens opened it didn’t dampen the experience at all. Kids and adults alike loved it. Thank you!!
