Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a sea kayaking tour with Andy this weekend. With the winter weather closing in mid-November, we weren't sure how far we would get, but we had an absolutely superb and challenging paddle from Lamlash up to King's Cross Point, across to the Holy Isle and back across the bay, just as the light was fading. Andy was a fantastic guide, provided great equipment, and kept us safe and motivated, with plenty of great chat along the way. Plenty of wildlife to be spotted along the way as well. We'll definitely be back - highly recommend.

Originally had planned the kayaking tour but Andy advised due to the wind being against us, the gorge walk would be a better option or even a refund if we wanted.

Decided on the gorge walking and had an amazing experience. We were challenged from the start but Andy was there to guide us and knew exactly when we needed assistance and when we were able to push through ourselves.

It's not often you find someone who obviously loves what they do, is an expert at it and is also a genuinely interesting person, so whichever activity you choose, I'm sure you will have an unbelievable time.

Also, thank you Andy for the Sandwich Station recommendation at Lochranza, luckily we managed to catch them on the last day before they closed for the winter. Brisket sandwich was a winner.

Amazing time being led by Andy and Ellie. Weather conditions were poor one day so had to cancel but Andy was straight there offering alternatives. We went the next day and had an amazing morning kayaking up the coast. Hope to return next year and kayak to the holy isle. Thanks so much for a great day!

Had a wonderful tour around Holy Island on a half day trip. Saw lots of wildlife from goats to starfish! We even got followed by some friendly seals for a while. A fantastic day, highly recommend!! Andy was lovely and very reassuring as a guide. Very easy to organise as a last minute trip.

Superb family ( grown up kids) day out with Andy at Otter’s Tail. Everything was perfect from the prior communication, equipment, group size, activity and even the weather. Lamlash Bay is stunning and we even saw a seal and some giant starfish.
Would thoroughly recommend this tour and it was suitable for beginners and intermediate kayakers.
Thanks for a fantastic day on the water!
