The little ferry across to the island is friendly. The island itself has a great walk across the top and back along the shore. A bit of a trawl up and down each end but nothing too bad. On a good day, it's the most...More

the boat ride is fun; there is not much to do on the island (unless you have hiking apparel/shoes). the garden is inspirational with uplifting quotes; gently ambiance in the "boat house" (little coffe shop). too bad one cannot visit even the first house.

The Holy Isle is a very special place. You have to take a small boat across but once there you will see animals roaming freely and have views of Arran and mainland Scotland that you obviously will not get from anywhere else. OK so there...More

Small ferry to an interesting Island. Great walk, bit windy on our day. You need about 4-5 hours to go to the top and back round the coast.

Ferry from Lamlash £12 return. Walked to top & back in 90 minutes. Stiff climb but so worth the stunning view. If we had more time we would have gone down the other side & round. A flat walk can be taken along the coast...More
