Learn about Dr. Falconer after whom the museum is named, a remarkable man. Friend of Darwin and almost the founder of modern palaeontology and geology, naturalist and maker of the tea industry in India. A video in upper room gives a very clear picture of his life and worth. So this museum pays tribute to Hugh Falconer a mate of Darwin and really important academic figure. Small but packed with local history. It combines fun for kids ( dressing up costumes, puppet show figures to play with and computer/drawing) with displays of wildlife, costimes, RAF Kinloss, Forres etc etc. Shows how a well thought out space can intrigue and provide a really interesting experience. Well done. Pop in. Do it!…
