Lovely autumnal walk with a lovely view of the town. Only found out about it as it was a treasure hunt clue (Geocaching.com)

Great view from the top! You can climb up to the top during the summer months until the end of September. You can see around Forres and towards Findhorn bay.

Having known a great deal about Nelson I never knew about this tower in Forres so it was a delight to visit. The views from the top are amazing and well worth the 97 steps to the top!

We went to see this and the local area in what we now know as the last time it will be illuminated like this...which is a bit sad. However we have been up to see it normally since and it's worth the walk up to...More

Love walk to the tower, however was surprised to see monument here. Horatio Nelson was Norfolk born. Unfortunately tower as closed so couldn't discover why the tower was here in Forres. "I'll have to "Google" it!" Peter

The Nelson's tower is in the Gratt park in Forres. It is on a hill called Clunny Hill and is a very interesting monument, especially when they light it up during winters.

A nice walk up the hill, even on a wet and cold day! Somewhat muddy underfoot but nothing a good pair of (sensible) shoes can't handle. The Tower is manned by volunteers and entry is by donation. To the top is 97 steps but opportunity...More

Only disappointment was that the Tower did not open to visitors until Easter weekend which meant we were unable to see the view across Findhorn Bay from the top.

Although the history behind this monument is quite impressive, it is in the end just a small watch tower up a hill. i would rather visit some of the imressive castles and coastlines in the area if i was palnning a day out
