Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sept 2022
This is a stunning and clean beach which in September felt like it was just for us as so few people were there.
The dunes are beautiful and the wind moves the sand gently across in front of you into different undulating shapes yet not into your eyes!
You can walk for miles if you want.
A real hidden gem with free parking on the road over the beautiful, and we think new, footbridge.

Weather was terrible but the entertainment, meals and bar staff made everything great. From booking in at reception you were made very welcome then Tracy the bar manager who was ever so helpful. The Sunday Carvery was to die for as well as the breakfast’s in the morning.
Would certainly recommend Silversands Lossie for a great holiday.

Drove down from Inverness to surf and although I thought I had done my research I did not realise you cannot actually get to the beach other than by the closed bridge!! Arriving early the river was ebbing but still quite full, it was windy and we where not put off but this, We watched other surfers paddling their boards across!! It was not easy but nothing was going to stop up getting to this fab beach!! It was tough but so worth it. Had a great surf, sat on the white sand in the hot sun. My advise is check the tides we watched other people later in the day wading across! Much safer !! It actually reminded me of beaches in Australia!! Truly Amazing. Free parking, clean toilets. Lovely ice cream. Please hurry and repair the bridge!!

Idelic beach ⛱️ 5 miles north of Elgin. Beautiful views that are panoramic looking out to sea and over Lossiemouth town.
Parking is ample, both on the street and with in the car park and the end of the town. There is always room, the only issue is some times campervans occupy many spaces.
Plenty of places to eat and drink right next to the beach, including ice cream shops.
The beach is very clean and well kept, golden sands and easy access over the bridge. With both tide in and out, there is plenty of room to walk. Pets access is allowed which is great as I like to walk with my dog 🐕.
Lossiemouth beach is a great place to visit, I have seen couples and family's having BBQs and enjoying a nice day out. I would recommend a visit.

This is a great beach for walking in all weathers. Access to beach is usually through the sand dunes although there are some direct paths. The length & depth of the beach is enough to spend time there & still keep to social dusting rules.
Highly recommend this beach.

This is not an easy place to get to. Drive 3 miles from Lossiemouth centre. You could easily kiss the road! Then park the car and walk through a stunning forest for 30 minutes. Finally you reach the beach (after the WW2 anti tank defences!)

Love to visit lossie beach when seeing family in the local area. It looks gorgeous on a clear/sunny day and it always worth a visit. A walk across the bridge to the dunes is really nice but (unsurprisingly) can be a little chilly outside of summer so do wrap up!

Am due to spend a week in Lossiemouth very shortly. The beach was, of course, a big attraction so gutted to find access now not possible over the bridge. Still would like to walk it at least once.Where is the next access to this beach - and yes, I appreciate it may be many miles east so looking for somewhere a car could be left. Thanks.

Have you thought about the other beach beside the golf course walking along to the lighthouse, I think you can walk on a bit past the lighthouse or walk the old railway line to bughhead. Beautiful walk.

Not opened this lunch time Council locked gates in place to stop foot traffic looks permanent fixture. Surf boarders crossed the river today to get to the surf and had the beach to themselves

There is a car park near the bridge that takes you to the beach. It's down a little hill and is also near some toilet blocks
