We visited with our children aged 4, 6, 9. We had only discovered the attraction after a Google search of what was local to where we were staying at Wemyss Bay. I'll admit that seeing it was located at a multi use venue (listed on some pages as a leisure centre) I was a little dubious as to how good... More

Trying to think of things to do during the October break with my 11 year old we decided a trip down memory lane to Largs. We went to Vikingar, after travelling for an hour we thought we are wasting our time. Never the less we carried on. It was £12 entry for two adults one child, we thought 'bargain oh... More

We arrived on a saturday afternoon around 3pm to be told it closed at 2.30. As there were others there hoping to visit they went ahead with the tour of the exhibit. So glad we got to see it as it was very interesting & the guide was excellant. Started off in the viking long house, then met the gods.... More

We went yesterday as our wet weather plan, spent an hour there, the kids had a ball. Couldn't visit every year, but good for a visit every so often. Our guide was fantastic, she was great with the kid's.

My wife and I visited during the Largs Viking Festival and this is definitely very well worth a visit and I am happy to recommend it as a must see if ever visiting Largs. I learned all aspects about vikings and their way of life. The guide was very informative, from life in a viking long house to their Gods... More

Attended the annual Viking Festival lecture at Vikingar. Parking can be tricky and pricey in Largs but the station is not too far away. Excellent lecture in a themed lecture theatre in the Vikingar Centre that is modern and spacious with all the required facilities. Good disabled access and the Largs Museum is just down the road if you want... More

Vikingar was very good. It only cost us £10 to enter (2 adults, 2 children). Its very authentic and the viking room was very impressive. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
