Great tour courtesy of Andy, followed by three very acceptable beers. Enough for people who know nothing of brewing and for myself who knew a bit. Avoid the rather poor food in the restaurant.

The Brewery tour, cafe and shop are well worth a visit. Reasonable prices, good local food and beer.

If you're a beer snob like me, you're not going to get anything from the tour, so I would just skip it. However, the beer here is very good. If you don't want to spring for a whole 10 pound bottle of Dark Island Reserve (i.e. Dark Island aged in Old Pulteney barrels), you can get a 1/3 pint at... More

Took the first tour of the day together with a young lass from Canada,so we had Andy, our Tourguide, for ourselves. It's a really small Brewery, but nonetheless interesting to see and smell how beer is made. Andy is very knowledgeable and made the tour worthwhile. We've finished with three good drams (one pint alltogether!!).I had lunch there as well, which was delicious. The tasting... More

The brewery has a great shop and place to eat. There are a good number of things to choose from there, all using local produce, even down to using the beer from the brewery. The toilets are kept clean and shiny.

Fantastic brewery, incredible beer and food. I can get there beers in California and we made this an important stop on our visit to orkney almost 5000 miles away. Food was great and trying the beers on tap was a once in a lifetime experience.

We really enjoyed our tour of this new micro brewery. I liked the story of the family connection behind the conversion of this schoolhouse. All the staff were really welcoming and the tour informative. The tour includes 3 x 1/3 pints of the beer which was clearly welcome!

We just walked in and immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who took us onto a private tour. So, we had ample time to ask everything we wanted. But, the brewery and tasting beer is just half the attraction. The other half is the fine restaurant in the old school house. The owners have invested a lot to maintain... More

We decided to visit the Orkney Brewery for lunch. On arrival we entered the restaurant. As there was no sign saying that diners should wait to be seated we looked for a table. Most of the vacant tables had reserved signs on them but one didn't so we sat down at it. After about ten minutes of waiting I went... More
