    Great breakfast
We were looking for a breakfast. On a Sunday in mid June. Harder to find than you’d expect. Our first choice (because they were open from 09:00 failed us as they weren’t serving at the moment. Staff problems it seems. So we decided that we’d just have breakfast rolls and coffee at the Birks. Which was all the website offered. Well! How lovely to find that we could actually have a full Scottish! And very good too. Outstanding service as well. Just saying!

    Super wee cinema.
We have been to this wonderful little cinema before and while we were in Aberfeldy for the weekend I was keen to return. We purchased tickets online for Fly Me to the Moon. The seats were clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the film. A lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon on my birthday.

Not just a cinema or a cafe
A lovely wee find! The Art Deco caught my eye first; then I noticed the cafe, so we popped in for a sandwich and a coffee. Both absolutely excellent. The Cinema has lots of events on for local people, and looked very interesting. So good to see a building used for the public, and not just made into flats, or left to go to rack and ruin.

    great coffee stop
called in whilst visiting Aberfeldy for a quick coffee. Friendly and helpful staff with good tasting coffee. Ideally situated in centre of town, no issues with waiting for coffee and cafe had a good ambience about it. We will call in again if visiting Aberfeldy.

the last thing i would have thought of doing on our wee break was paying into to a tiny cinema because im a cheapskate and pay for cineworld membership back in dundee and wanted to explore aberfeldy more, but my boyfriend persuaded me and was pleasantly suprised. The service was great just paying in and my boyfriend still won't stop going on about the milkshakes. He says their like disneyworld milkshakes but cheaper and wants to come back to aberfeldy for one

During times of difficulty and change, it's so refreshing to find such a gem! Well done Ameirh Swan!! Birks Cinema, please appreciate that in Ameirh you have an excellent member of staff. Polite, kind and very helpful. Goes above and beyond, knows her clientele and takes customer care to a new level! With a relative who frequents the cinema frequently and feels at home, thank you for embracing the community spirit and making everyone welcome.

Visited the cinema early afternoon for coffee & scones, really loved vibe in the cafe, friendly and relaxed.

Returned in the evening to see Kevin Woods 282 and had drinks in the bar before the film. It was bustling and had a lovely relaxed, friendly vibe. Upstairs there was an acoustic session going which was good to listen in to.

Drinks were allowed in the auditorium. Very comfortable seating and a really good film. Would definitely return.

Love that the Birks is such a hub in the community!

The cinema is fantastic. We've been enjoying coming here ever since it was resurrected from the crumbling empty building it was. However, we went as a family, two adults, two children under ten on Saturday morning at 11.00 and the price was phenomenal...£35.00. there were about 10 people in there altogether with potential customers shying away from the expense. The atmosphere is lost with such a small amount of people. You used to do a family ticket to the wee birks for a Saturday matinee which was always full. Why the change? Surely it is better to fill the seats for a reasonable amount than have a tenth capacity at more. People may have money left over to enjoy a meal in the excellent cafe! I fear that if your pricing policy is not revised, the Birks will again become a crumbling empty building....... which would be a terrible shame.

Went for breaakfast in their cafe (didn't experience the cinema). Friendly staff, good breakfast rolls, but really disappointed with kids beans on toast at £3.50 - one slice of white bread (unbuttered) and one or two spoons of beans. Almost £40 for 3 rolls, 2 beans on toast, tea/coffee and kids drinks. Hmmm.

Awful. Having made and paid for an order for 4 panini (bacon, brie & cranberry) and soft drinks we waited 25 minutes until we asked when we would be served. We were told our food would be coming soon. Had it not been for the fact that we had paid when we ordered we would have left at that point. It took another 10 minutes and when it came the bacon was undercooked with greasy fat attached and even the bread had not been sufficiently toasted. The cafe wasn't even particularly busy (Wednesday lunchtime). Other customers were waiting a l8ng time too. There was no shortage of staff - one wonders what they were doing. WORST lunch for a long time.

We to see 1917, made all the better in this Gem of an experience. It was our 2nd film. This is a community cinema, meeting place, bistro and more. Highly recommend. All films are bang up to date. The staff, if you engage with them, are the drivers and seem to be exceedingly knowledgeable on their subject.

Fantastic food served by very friendly, happy staff. Lovely atmosphere as well. Can recommend the sausage in a roll. Beautiful tasting sausage from a local butcher. Timings for films didn't quite work out for us unfortunately but I'm reliably informed that the cinema's great too.

Excellent night at the Birkks for the simultaneous live broadcast of Der Rosenkavalier from the NY Met Opera.

Excellent production, very clear screen. And sound system magnificent.

When you arrived, you could arrange to have smoked salmon sandwiches in either of the 2 intervals for £4.50 per round. This is done to raise addition funds as the cinema is run as a community enterprise and ushers etc are volunteers.

Pleasant area to buy drinks and cake before during and after performance. Other members of the audience very friendly.

I regularly come to direct transmissions also from Covent Garden and the National Theatre as well as catching recent cinema releases. I thoroughly recommend a visit ( or two or three) here.
