Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While on holiday in Aberfeldy we noted that the local cinema had a film on that we were keen to see, so we booked to see it. The staff could not be more helpful and the seats were very comfortable so we would definitely recommend this cinema.

Went for breaakfast in their cafe (didn't experience the cinema). Friendly staff, good breakfast rolls, but really disappointed with kids beans on toast at £3.50 - one slice of white bread (unbuttered) and one or two spoons of beans. Almost £40 for 3 rolls, 2 beans on toast, tea/coffee and kids drinks. Hmmm.

Super comfortable seats, great sound and terrific programming makes this a great community asset. The programming ranges from arthouse to family friendly. The staff are lovely and helpful.
The foyer cafe has great prices, good popcorn and coffee plus a myriad of delectable treats. Inviting food choices make this a great option for lunches and snacks. Clean toilets are an additional plus. Highly recommended.

Visited the cinema early afternoon for coffee & scones, really loved vibe in the cafe, friendly and relaxed.
Returned in the evening to see Kevin Woods 282 and had drinks in the bar before the film. It was bustling and had a lovely relaxed, friendly vibe. Upstairs there was an acoustic session going which was good to listen in to.
Drinks were allowed in the auditorium. Very comfortable seating and a really good film. Would definitely return.
Love that the Birks is such a hub in the community!

The cinema's Art Deco exterior looks very impressive and they have made a good restoration job.
We weren't there to see a movie but instead to get a snack for lunch. The foyer has been made into a cafe and it is a nice area to sit, albeit at the time of our visit it was quite noisy as people were filtering in to see a film screening. Once the "rush" was past peace was restored.
The menu covers light meals and snacks. We weren't given much time to look at it since the kitchen was apparently closing for a break however we got our order in prior to curfew - two toasted sandwiches, a can of Pepsi and a can of Irn Bru. Pay at the counter (£17) and the food was delivered shortly afterwards.
The toasties were good - Brie & Bacon and Blackforest Ham & Cheddar Cheese, both served with a salad garnish and some crisps.
Staff seemed slightly stretched but remained positive!

The cinema is fantastic. We've been enjoying coming here ever since it was resurrected from the crumbling empty building it was. However, we went as a family, two adults, two children under ten on Saturday morning at 11.00 and the price was phenomenal...£35.00. there were about 10 people in there altogether with potential customers shying away from the expense. The atmosphere is lost with such a small amount of people. You used to do a family ticket to the wee birks for a Saturday matinee which was always full. Why the change? Surely it is better to fill the seats for a reasonable amount than have a tenth capacity at more. People may have money left over to enjoy a meal in the excellent cafe! I fear that if your pricing policy is not revised, the Birks will again become a crumbling empty building....... which would be a terrible shame.

Fantastic food served by very friendly, happy staff. Lovely atmosphere as well. Can recommend the sausage in a roll. Beautiful tasting sausage from a local butcher. Timings for films didn't quite work out for us unfortunately but I'm reliably informed that the cinema's great too.

Took the kids to Sonic 2 today. Was like a cinema trip I remember. Great service, great pop corn. Very happy experience, we will be back.
