The formal garden is quite beautiful and the best place to view is the balcony above. Sadly the vegetable garden was more a collection of dead plants so definitely an area to miss. There is ample car parking space and the toilets are modern and spotlessly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit but thought the entrance fee of £10 was a bit steep.

Visited these gardens on Saturday . The autumn colours were amazing and there was an excellent Halloween 🎃 themed trail . Such a pity the forecast for Sunday was so bad as there had been a lot of work put into creating the trail which would have been magical 🧙‍♀️ on a lovely autumn afternoon. Had visited once before years ago and would definitely recommend a return visit when the grounds open again next year .

We are not usually fans of formal gardens but this one knocks your socks off and back on again. The first view from the terrace makes a stunning introduction. The variety of trees and shrubs also make it stand out from other formal gardens. There are a few benches for those of us who like to sit and appreciate but a few more would be nice. Otherwise, perfect.

Impressive gardens and landscape. Unbelievable setting against the backdrop of the castle, high on the embankment.

Was this garden perfect? Alas the answer is no… what garden is!?! There’s various areas that need attention but I’ve no doubt the small team of gardeners will get round to such areas in due course. And most sadly, a great of the Buxes hedging has a severe dose of blight or the dreaded moth (I wanted to try and find out what the gardeners are doing about it but couldn’t spot anyone to ask)

It would also be good if the video near the entrance explained the history to the castle and the gardens, rather than just a short background to the sundial.

Also, it would be nice if some of the trees/shrubs had name tags (rather than just being given a map and legend).

Overall this is a magnificent setting, and so set away from anywhere! But most certainly worthy of the journey.

This is the second time that we have been here and the gardens are amazing. We were very lucky as the sun shone all the time that we were there. The lady at the reception office was very friendly and gave us a great insight to the gardens. A wonderful experience.

Lovely garden, clearly very well maintained. But it lacks character, and at £10 for an adult is far too expensive. I have been to more varied, more interesting, just *bigger* gardens, including formal ones like this, for £6 or £7. I'm glad I've visited, but I feel no pull to return unlike many gardens that I have visited.

This stunning garden with castle backdrop near Crieff is simply beautiful. Open from 1100 to 1700 there is plenty of parking and toilets near the main car park. Though entry to the garden is via a number of stone steps, there is a disabled car park offering level access to the lower level of the garden.

Well worth a visit.

We’ve lived in the area (Stirling/Dunblane) for 25 years and never visited Drummond Gardens near Crieff. Well worth a visit, lovely formal gardens and landscaping, like a mini Versailles, with a wonderful very scottish medieval castle in the background.
Highly recommended.

Beautiful visit to Drummond Gardens, they are the nicest well maintained gardens we have ever seen! Not a blade of grass out of place!
The castle isn’t open to the public but provides the most beautiful backdrop to the gardens.
There is a room showing a short video on the restoration if the sundial that’s worth a watch.
All staff we met were friendly and helpful and dogs are allowed even in the manicured parts and we were made to feel so welcome with our dog.
The woodland trail with wood carvings is a must.
No on-site cafe but drinks and ice cream available in the shop, lovely high end gifts on sale.
Ample parking and toilets available.
We came as the gardens featured in Outlander and thought it was very classy this wasn’t mention on site and not an Outlander souvenir in site!
Sheer class!
