Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

My wife and I have had two ski lessons at Snow Factor. One as a group and one private lesson with Nicholas. Both were fantastic fun and really informative, Nicholas was a great instructor. Would highly recommend!

Booked in for a private ski lesson for 2 adults. It was just our second lesson.
Ewan was fantastic, really approachable and gave great personalised direction. We had different abilities and confidence and he was able to cater for both of us. We got loads out of the lesson and are looking forward to coming back. Thank you!

My kids had a fabulous lesson with Ian today. He told them exactly what he wanted them to do and they felt he explained everything perfectly. They have progressed so much since there last lesson.
The lesson was fun and they even managed to move on to the big slope. They are looking forward to another lesson with Ian and bringing photos of the Zorse!

Staggeringly bad experience here today. My son is autistic and was there for his first ski lesson. He was on the nursery slope with a few other kids. He needs a bit of help getting started with physical things so I wanted to go on the slope with him to help him get started. However the instructor wouldnt let me on the slope. He said "what if everyone wanted to go on and help" which is ridiculous because not every kid has special needs. Within the first few minutes my son was getting disheartened and the ski instructor suggested he get a disabled lesson. I felt this was inappropriate because he isn't disabled, he just needs a wee bit of help. We went inside and I spoke to the attendant at the counter. She said she couldn't allow "strange" people to be around other kids and "what would other parents say". She said I needed a PVG to get on the slope. I said I have a PVG, she said it has to be through the company. All because I wanted to help my son! I asked for my money back and she said they can only offer a gift card, because there's no managers there at the weekend. Why not, it must be the busiest time?! My son and I had to wait for 90 minutes for my daughter to finish the lesson. The ski instructor came up and asked me about my son. I said I was dissatisfied with the service and I would be making a complaint. He started smirking about this, so I said I've had enough of this and we left. Getting into the car, my daughter said the instructor was aggressive and kelp shouting at the kids for falling down on their 1st lesson... Absolutely shocking, I won't be going anywhere near this place again.

My 7 year old niece is completing her lessons at snow factor Glasgow. Two weeks ago she completed level 2 and lost her enthusiasm half way through the lesson. She agreed to try the level 3 which she had today with Kym and she loved it. She came off the slope asking when she is going back. A big thank you to Kym for all her help and giving Ella her confidence back

My daughter has had 2 skiing lessons from Ian now. He was so welcoming, kind and patient. Explained things very well and made her feel at ease. She now only wants Ian as her teacher for future lessons. 10/10 instructor.

If purchasing a unlimited day ski pass, can you stop for a break and visit the cafe and then return and ski again, can you leave the ski's etc in locker?

You can ski right upto the entrance to bar/restaurant 😀, leave your skis there and in you go, plus if you just get a pass for a couple of hours they will stamp your pass to allow you to eat or drink and not loose your skiing time!
I can recommend the footlong German sausage 😀, and the many nice beers....ask for a taste before you buy

If you go on the website you can get lift passes in hourly blocks, they also do full day passes. Make sure to check there isn't any restrictions on the slope the day you plan to go - specific classes/lessons on at certain times of the day

Hi, we love Snowfactor but need to find a quicker/cheaper public transport route from Edinburgh/Glasgow Queen Street - please can you advise?
We searched Googlemaps and came up with the Clyde Flyer (901, 906, 907) or McGill's 26 (£9 each way for 1 adult and 2 young people) or the First Bus 77. Any alternative suggestions, eg rail, other buses, would be most welcome - thank you

On the board in a day lessons, do you get regular breaks? What level of fitness is required?
Kat_Dickson
Glasgow, UK3 contributions
Hi Kel,
You'll have a 15-20 minute break in the morning, a lunch break and then another 15-20 minute break in the afternoon. The board in a day lesson is physically demanding as you will be using lots of muscles your body is not used to using. If you are worried about fitness level, you could always opt for our 4-hour fast track lessons. I hope this helps! Best, Kathleen ( Marketing Assistant at Snow Factor )
