Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked for our little girls who are under 5s to experience Ice Skating for the first time on their lives. We booked for Wednesday 27/12/2023, slot 10:30 at first. Then we phoned to ask a couple of questions regarding the booking. We were advised to to move our booking to the 12:30 slot as it is only for wee ones and their parents and more fun with other toys that would make it more fun for them. So we requested to modify our tickets to the 12:30 slot as we were adviced. Then we were told that we can go on the ice with the little ones on our shoes as they are not experienced skaters. We liked this option as we can supervise our kids without the need to wear skaters as we are not skaters ourselves.

Now, when we were there, we were shocked it wasn’t as we were told and advertised at all. It wasn’t for wee ones only as advertised on the website and as were told over the phone. Misleading information! It was open to everyone although it says 12:30 is little ones?

Secondly, when we wanted to go on the ice on our shoes we were told to get out as we are not allowed to do so!! And when argued with the staff they told us they are not aware of this possibility?? Again misleading information! And because of this we had to hire the penguins for little ones to use for their safety, which was £5 each to hire! So we paid extra £15 to hire 3 of these and eventually the little ones asked to leave after 35 minutes as it wasn’t fun at all as were promised. Too many ppl and some were experienced skaters going very fast. It wasn’t comfortable for the little ones at all.

And we were refused to get a refund for the penguins and when left them other ppl used them for free!!!

For the lockers, we only had one £1 and mistakenly used it then got stuck on the locker and when we asked for help to get it out to use it again we were told that is it, they can’t take it out. It is a complete ripoff! Then we realised it was 50p not £1 for the lockers!!!

I am so sorry to say that it was a horrible experience and sadly no body enjoyed. Little ones were very disappointed.

Ice skating is back but ruined by reduced ice time and almost a doubling in price. Sessions used to be 2 hours and are now cut to just 90 minutes and a massive price hike of over 60%. Appears they want to rip people off trying to recoup what they lost over the last few months. I for one wont be back.

Our first visit to see ice hockey here, we found some positives but other bits which could be better. Our tickets were for seats in one of the corners, but the sight lines were excellent and the seats comfortable. The PA system was poor though with it difficult to hear the announcements most of the time.
All the concession stands were at one end of the arena, which caused quite a bit of congestion due to the large crowd.
Lots of parking nearby and the traffic congestion was much less than I anticipated.
Overall a pretty good place to watch hockey, but could be better.

I'd previously posted about INTU Braehead but I can't do another review about them for 3 months. It was due to having an out of date gift card to the value of £50 but due to a bereavement in the family I had misplaced card & when I had gone to use it was told it was out of date. The e flex people that supply INTU with giftcard refused to do anything about it & flatly told me nothing else would be done, end of complaint. However on emailing Braehead management they have giving us a giftcard out of a goodwill gesture. I am happy with this outcome but I am still disappointed that e flex couldn't have done something similar.
Thank you Braehead, however I would still advise people not to give giftcard as presents as if you misplace them with our sad circumstance you have not a leg to stand on. Just give money instead as I said before it does not go out of date.

I go to see the Clan whenever I can, and, in the 3 years I have done so, I have never seen any trouble between the rival fans.

It is great to see people of all ages there for a non-stop barrage of noise.

Would recommend it to anyone.

Clangus is superb.

Went two weeks ago to the clan game. I have gone to multiple games around Britain and braehead was by far the worst atmosphere we have experienced. When we all changed along to the PA we got told by stewards to be quiet. I will not be back, and I would not recommend anyone who would like a good time to attend. Good riddance.

The arena is a fantastic venue to watch our favourite Ice Hockey team the Glasgow Clan. The atmosphere is electric and as it is in the Intu Shopping Centre where you can both shop and eat it suits us very well.

Another nerve shredding game from the Clan. For a while, we were dubious that they would ever score to allow us to throw our bears onto the rink - especially after some dubious refereeing decisions went against them.

But score they did, and then, (to me), several hundred charity donations were dutifully lobbed on the rink.

It was good to see players from both teams working together to sweep them up.

At 2-1 down, and time almost up, the Blaze were pressing to equalise, when the Clan broke out to score in an empty net - PHEW, RELIEF!!!
