WOW! Beaches like this are usually only found much further south in the world. You must head for a walk here given the opportunity. Do not miss this place but beware, the weather can change very quickly and your picnic could be seagul food.

Stunning strip of clean sand surrounded by rock formations. Nice place for walk along tide line looking on ocean's waves, beaching the rocks with water splash. Very peaceful place at the village foot, picturesque spot on North Coast way.

We arrived after days of torrential rain and it was 40 plus winds but we got a few hrs clear and it is beautiful. So many little walks. Stunning to watch waves crash. We stayed at campsite and our view over beach was something else.

That’s what a big sign says on arrival! If only it were sunny in Scotland. We wouldn’t need to go on holiday! Really beautiful beach. White sands, blue water. Huge rocks just randomly dotted around. We brought a picnic and had a windy, cold lunch...More

Great in any weather, dramatic beach in a storm or in good weather. Clean sand and clear water. Steep path down to beach.

Travelling north on the A9 there are some beautiful little harbours all the way up to Wick, notably Helmsdale, Latheron Wheel and Lybster, Sorry I cannot help with the Outer Hebrides asI have never been. Have fun
