Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went on this as a extra for a different tour was okay, but the boat was over crowded and you didn't get anything out of it that you would get simply driving around the Loch. Was also very short trip

If you're visiting Loch Ness then you MUST take a trip on the Loch with this guy !
Book & pay at the shop opposite the car park (£17 pp) then you'll get picked up & driven to & from the jetty where the boat is (5 mins).

The boat is around a 12 seater - so not a huge "cruise ship" which makes it more fun.
The guy "driving" the boat (missed his name sadly) is very knowledgeable & informative about all aspects of the Loch - & the people who lived in the location !

Only one thing concerned my GF - no life jackets or flotation devices - the Loch was a bit "choppy" & worried her - I'll have to take her out on a deep sea fisher one day lol.

An experience not to be missed --- No "Nessie" though !

Ended up on this as an afterthought - initially unable to get a slot worth the first company we tried so thought we’d left it too late. Got this spot by chance when buying something in the gift shop opposite the main car park. Glad we did. Great guide - local man (I’m sorry, I didn’t get his name) who picked us up from the car park in his minibus and took us to the mooring five minutes away. 45 minutes on the boat. Beautiful views, including of Urqhart Castle. Loads of anecdotes and local info - not just about the monster either. Geography, history, wildlife etc. accommodate us with our dog too. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the boat tour around Loch Ness with Gordon! He is a really kind, welcoming and knowledgeable man, and gave us a great overview of the loch and all the significant historical events and stories that have revolved around it. The views of Urquhart castle are particularly great from the boat. The tour itself was seamless with us being picked up from the car park and being driven to the loch by minibus, and the boat is covered and makes for a very enjoyable ride. Thank you for the great experience! We will definitely recommend it to friends who are planning to come up North:)

We had a wonderful trip. We are a large family and took two young children along. Obviously seeing the monster was a primary objective! Our host was lovely and vastly well informed. Along with the children went our dog who settled into the cruise pretty well. He was particularly intrigued by the duck that joined us on board for a time.

A very nice boat trip on Loch Ness with good view of the Urquarht Castle - and of course the lake itself. Gordon is a lovely man, very knowledgable, I enjoyed his stories and facts about the loch very much.

Booked a trip from the exhibition centre at Loch Ness(Drumnadrochit) with Deepscan cruises, our skipper/guide was Ali.
Got picked up at the exhibition centre in Drumnadrochit by minibus and after a 5 minute drive we parked at the dock for the trip, Ali was a great guide and has a great sense of humour made everyone feel welcome. We boarded the boat and was afloat and on our way in about 5 minutes, a leisurely cruise out into the middle of the Loch with running commentary from our host Ali.And it was true what he said all four seasons on one trip, hail, snow, rain and sunshine only short spells so didn't get really wet just a bit damp, there was plenty of room inside the cabin if you wanted to shelter from the weather, but decided to stay outside.
Cruise lasted roughly 45-60 minutes, but well worth it, very informative and enjoyable experience and plenty of photo opportunities especially around Urquhart Castle. Definitely worthwhile and highly recommended. Just make sure you wear appropriate clothing and wrap up warm..
