This remains one of my favourite parts of the UK, the coastline and wildlife here is beautiful. From nesting bonxies (skuas) with their fluffy chicks, to the busy oyster catchers, to puffins emerging from their burrows, and a host of other birds, along with seals...More

I loved this reserve as it felt wild and unspoiled despite there being quite a number of birdwatchers and photographers present. The downside of this is that it is quite a long walk to get there from the parking and there are steep cliffs with...More

Moorland and high cliffs open to the skies. Long boardwalk access: free to all, no staff on hand. Birdlife truly amazing - as well (on a clear day) huge moorland and coastal horizons. Delighted to see puffins again, though we think in smaller numbers than...More

We had great weather and had a wonderful hike. Unfortunately, we only saw one Puffin. They were late arriving this year. Many other birds were available for viewing. Unfortunately, I'm not a birder.

What a brilliant walk and place. We were blown away by the scenery, the skuas, the pathway is well maintained and muckle flugga did not disappoint. Not too challenging a walk with a baby in pack on back either! Not to be missed!

It was a good hour an half walk to get from the car park to the sights. We were lucky with the weather and even saw a couple of Puffins from a distance although the vast majority were already gone. From the Nature reserve we...More

When we arrived there was a note on the gate saying the visitor centre was closed in 2018. Nothing about this on social media. If they want more visitors maybe it would be a good idea not to close for a year. But given the...More
