Visited the garden centre first. Enjoyed all the Xmas goods and more. Had a quick stop at the restaurant and enjoyed coffee and a breakfast roll which was lovely. Great choice of home made cakes as well. However was greatly disappointed with the Xmas market? Was expecting something much better. Spent all of 5 minutes going round it. Shame as the advert made it sound inviting.

Visited Goulding’s today with my wife. We went to get some plants for our containers.
But first we had to visit the restaurant, great experience. Good food, reasonable prices and quick friendly service.
The variety of bedding plants is tremendous, and very well priced. Now we’re home we realise we need more, so back to Goulding’s next week …… it’s a great morning out !

Visited today with my family for Mother’s Day and had a wonderful time. Although it’s probably one of the busiest days I’ve seen I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are lovely, very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The variety of food served was excellent and I must say the specials today were on point!
I had a beautiful homemade quiche whilst my mother had a crispy Cajun chicken with rice and both were well presented and brought out in a timely manner. We then went back up for coffees and cakes (as you do) and the miniature cheesecakes were to die for!! I really can’t fault anything about our trip. And if just like to say that even on one of the busiest days in the year that the lunch was great and I cannot thank you enough for all the hard work you do. Your restaurant is well run and you can see that the staff are meticulous at their jobs. Whether it’s rearranging seats to accommodate customers, making delicious food and cakes or just being attentive to their customers, thank you for making my Mother’s Day a great day!

We visited Santa at the Winter Wonderland on 11th December with my 3 yr old and 8 yr old. We had an awful experience with a bigoted Santa where he made my 8 year old feel uncomfortable and was very upset as he kept asking what Scottish football team he supported. When he shared what team, we were told “has this boy not been brought up properly?” And “I’ll get you tickets to ibrox”.
I have complained and we did receive a refund. I did get an apology from the manager and Santa via email which was worthless as we had already ruined our experience particularly for my 8 year old who is already questioning a lot of whether Santa is real now.
Ruined the magic of Christmas for us.
The winter wonderland was pretty and the rides afterwards were enjoyable for my youngest. But the toys were poor quality, poor choice especially for older ones. I think they’re really catering for babies and pre schoolers. But a lot of these children will have older siblings and it’s important to keep them engaged and excited so they can enjoy it especially as it rubs off on their younger siblings.
I would also say the fact that 4 Santa rooms are back to back of each other, we experienced another family leaving their Santa room at the same time and my eldest witnessed a family saying “bye Santa” at the same time as us. Not well organised at all.
Will most definitely NOT be going back again!
I recommend you save your money and go elsewhere!

Cannot recommend the Winter Wonderland enough! Excellent from start to finish. Lovely Christmassy scenes to take your time to admire and enjoy as you make your way to see Santa which were simply stunning!
Santa himself was great, took a genuine interest in our son and what he would like for Christmas etc. it wasn’t rushed and got a great family picture ( additional cost but no pressure to buy). Upon leaving Santa the kids get to choose their own gift from a wide selection of good quality toys that suit all ages and interests.
Then it’s through to the rides where the kids can go on as many times as they like whilst the adults can enjoy a hot drink and shortbread which is included in the price of your ticket. Plenty more drinks and snacks available which I felt were reasonably priced. The only attractions that are an additional cost is the VR sleigh ride, hook a duck and water blasters.
Then upon leaving as you come out the reindeer are there ready to be fed, £1 for some food if you choose to do so. One in particular was letting us know they were hungry 😆
The staff or santas elves were just fantastic, so welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Thank you for a great Christmas experience, we will definitely be back!!

Just been to the new winter wonderland ,it is absolutely stunning my granddaughter loved it ,and Santa was great with her ,but after leaving Santa to go in to the rides ,it was impossible to get a seat ,after standing for 35 minutes I eventually got the corner of a seat .and the benches were terrible to sit on …should have had loads of nice tables and chairs for family’s, as adults pay as well , but overall my granddaughter had a wonderful day 😊

First visit for food. Queued out the door but didnt take too long to get a table. Very busy staff seemed to have everything under control and were very professional Baked potatoes nice if a bit dry/floury. Coronation chicken filling in a separate dish a bit on the small side but tasted nice. Nice coffee and best rhubarb tart I've had in a long time. Knocks dobbies into a cocked hat!!! Would recommend!!

I have visited Gouldings occasionally in the past and it has always been perfectly fine but last week when I was in, my husband and I both ordered crispy bacon rolls and scones with jam to follow.
The cook brought the rolls to us adding crispy bacon rolls as he put them down on the table. Anything but. We had to cut off the uncooked fat in addition to scrapping off the melted marg/butter which was thick on the bottom and top of the roll.
I had strawberry jam with my beautifully flavoured scone but it was soooo runny. Either the jam wasn’t set properly or the pectin was missing
The coffees were nice.
Such a shame, There are so many garden centres in the Clyde Valley who actually cook your order to how you ask. So buck up your ideas Gouldings!

Unfortunately booking is not available but the queue is normally kept moving by the efficient staff who are quick to spot an available table and will have it cleaned and sit patrons very quickly. Weekends are very busy but believe me the food quality and portions are well worth the wait

We do not take bookings sorry. To avoid the queues when it is busy we would advise to arrive before 12noon and after 3pm.
Hope this is of some help.
