My friends and I made a reservation for Sunday night at 7.30 pm. We get there in time and we seated in the table that the waiter said it was ready for us. However, he let them know that as the bar was quite busy,...More

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to read that you were disappointed. Our traditional music nights are very popular and on the evening of your visit a large table arrived late which causes additional pressure for our kitchen and this is why...More

Port Charlotte Hotel on Islay - nice place nice food - vastly overpriced - owner/ bar manager has strange pawkish sense of humour which is essentially quite rude - not my cup of tea!More

Thank you for your review, our barmen enjoy banter with our guest as well as taking time to advise on our whisky selection and answer a range of questions from our visitors regarding the island and would at no time intend to be rude, I...More

A wonderful spot for lunch - try and get a window table - warm fire and excellent range of whisky and gin in the bar. Good food.

Called in first night to find bar and restaurant fully booked. Booked a table in bar for next night only to discover place almost empty. Staff friendly, service good but meal did not merit price charged. Lacked atmosphere
