Two of us in our party of four are diehard Laphroig fans. We were determined to take the Water to Whiskey tour, and and we were so happy we did! It is important to follow their suggestions for comfortable walking shoes and to pay attention...More

My wife and I stopped in after a walk back from Ardbeg. A real shame as we were jammed up for time in order to catch the ferry and barely had 15 minutes for a quick look around and a dram - or two. We...More

I’m not a whisky drinker but had a really good experience at the Laphroaig distillery. A very informative tour from our excellent host Claire. Whiskey tasting part of the end was very good including extracting your own small bottle of whiskey from the sherry barrel....More

The beauty of a visit to the Laphroaig distillery is that you also learn something about Islay and how whisky it is an important part of the fabric of the island. My 14 year old daughter understood more about the chemistry of making whisky than...More

Flybe is the plane company that services Islay. It really depends on the flight times available. You'll probably have to arrive one day and leave the next.
