Had a great trip with Hebridean adventures in August this year. The crew were so helpful from start to finish and Muriel’s knowledge was truly impressive. We saw lots of common dolphins, porpoises and some Risso dolphins (including a mom and calf). We also saw a couple of sea eagles on the cliffs which was pretty special. Muriel was always ready to answer questions and give extra information about the species we saw. Would highly recommend!

We recently went on a half day boat trip and had a great time! We saw two minke whales who spent a while diving around the boat as well as a number of Russo dolphins travelling in formation! As if this wasn't enough we also spotted some porpoises as we travelled out of Stornoway harbour. Our guide Muriel and the captain went out of their way to ensure that we were looked after and we learnt so much from Muriel about the local marine life - thank you!

We took the half day trip whale spotting, and we saw a few minke whales which was thrilling. Muriel the guide is a star, informative, bubbly and she keeps the trip interesting. We spotted a few porpoise as well as seals and they took us over to a nesting eagle too. It was a lovely trip, a tad cold even in August so wrap up well and wear a woolly hat. I’d guess if you don’t see anything you might think it a little pricy, but take a hot flask, some snacks and enjoy a day on the water.

Recently went on one of the boat trips with my husband and 11 year old son. We were really well looked after by the crew. I felt safe with the measures put in place to restrict the spread of Covid-19. The crew made us aware when dolphins were in sight - and there was a lot! We also saw seals and a golden eagle! I recently got a call from Linda from the company asking if me and my family had any symptoms of the virus which was really reassuring as they are obviously taking track and trace really seriously. My son said that this was definitely his kind of day!

Lovely people and couldn't fault the service. Unfortunately we were just unlucky and didn't see anything. Muriel spotted a pair of eagles which was good, but even with binoculars they were difficult to see. We saw seals but only in the harbour once we returned (could have seen from the shore). We've been on a couple of uk sea/wildlife trips previously in Pembrokeshire and Angelesy, but on much smaller boats (rib ride). The boats themselves were good fun and worth the price of the ticket alone, and I'm pretty sure you're guaranteed to see more on a smaller boat going in and out of caves, or up close along the shoreline/cliff edge with seals and birds easily seen. It's a shame, but we were just left feeling disappointed given the price we paid. I think you need to have something somewhere that you're pretty much guaranteed to see for customers to feel they had value for money, with a whale or dolphin sighting as a bonus if it happens, especially given it's so unpredictable.. £235 for 2 adults and a child is a lot of money to just sit on a boat for 3 hours.. Really sorry but you need to either reduce the price or be able to offer more..
