A wonderful place to stay, the staff were extremely helpful, rooms quirky and beautiful and it was topped by a fabulous meal in the private dining room.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lews Castle. The accommodation was great, lovely bed and huge kitchen/dinner/living area. Everything was spotlessly clean.

We had a great stay at Lews Castle, the manager personally greeted us at check in and took us to our room. The room design was superb, the Castle is a great setting for any occasion, as a couple we found it very romantic.

We happily spent a couple of hours here going round the museum and then enjoyed coffee and cake in the light and airy café.

Expectations for the visit to Lews castle are partly dashed once you arrive. The castle looks to have been split into accommodation on the upper floors and an events venue on the ground floor. You can look around the ground floor with its strange mix...More

Extensive gardens. Castle is interesting and worth a visit. Lovely little cafe serving speciality coffees and good selection of food. Nice rainy day activity. Car park in the grounds or park by harbour and shops and cross bridge and walk through grounds.

The museum is a small gem. Easily walked to from town. No fee. It gives a good idea of island life and of its people. I would like some details, like who built Lews castle? What happened exactly here for the clearances. Interactive with video,...More

Impressive place. The museum heritage display is very well done, extremely informative and accessible. The cafe does great food too with good service. It was raining so we did not manage to walk in the grounds this time but would recommend a stroll if dry.

The apartment we stayed in had a washing machine and there was detergent provided. Hope this is of some help. Kind regards.
