Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our guide was fantastic, as was our experience. Pete catered our trip to accommodate what we were most interested to see and do.

Peter met us off the ferry and we parked up, joining another couple who were great fun and luckily also knowledgeable! My wife and I were no experts, but very enthusiastic. The weather was spectacular, Peter friendly and keen to pass on his extensive knowledge and also makes a mean corned beef and chutney sandwich. We saw White Tailed Eagles, otters in the water, dipper (good spot Matt), seals, lots of other birds and even glancing views of a golden eagle. Peter also had excellent binoculars to borrow and his car was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Spent a most enjoyable day with Peter as our guide. He knows the island intimately and took us to various locations from which we could look for wildlife, especially eagles, sea eagles and otters. Very successful! we saw 9 sea eagles and two otters, the latter at close range during our picnic lunch. Excellent communication from Peter and the whole day was very well organised. Would love to do it all over again.

Met Pete and another couple as arranged, within twenty minutes we were watching an otter and throughout the day, Pete was showing us sea eagles, buzzards, deer etc. The scenery was stunning, the food and drinks Pete provided was first class, he even went to the trouble of providing a drink for me, as I don’t drink tea or coffee.
If the chance arises to return to Mull, a day with Pete will be a must.

Pete is a very knowledgeable guy when it comes to the wildlife and the history of the island.......we did a tour of the island stopping at places that were mostly packed with wildlife.....although this was a "watching trip", Pete allowed me time to take photographs which was greatly appreciated.......we also stopped for two lunches which were coffee and sandwiches and the latter had cake.....yummy.......to many species to mention but a few were......White Tailed Sea eagles x 5, Golden Eagle, Peregrine, Hen Harrier, Otters, Red and Fallow Deer and numerous small species birds....altogether an amazing Wildlife tour.......Thank you Peter

Peter gave a really personal tour with a maximum of 4 people. He has great local knowledge and enthusiasm and took us to many key spots. We saw white tailed sea eagles, lots of herons (including one struggling to eat a small octopus) and a golden eagle. Unfortunately no otters today - nature being what is is. Peter also provided hot drinks and a packed lunch! Total service.

I spent 2 days touring with Peter and they were magical! The stunning beauty of Mull combined with Peter’s extensive knowledge of where to look for the animals and birds and his sharp eyes made these days unforgettable. Peter is a kind and efficient host, providing delicious food and necessary facilities at regular intervals! We saw golden and white tailed eagles, fallow and red deer, otters and many birds and seals. We travelled in a small group in Peter’s car and as a solo traveller I very much enjoyed the like-minded company.
Altogether I highly recommend this tour with Peter as a stress free way to explore beautiful Mull and it’s wildlife!

Vast knowledge of wildlife with an experienced and amiable guide.
Has a powerful telescope and insider knowledge of where to point it. We were lucky enough to see several Sea Eagles including a chick sitting in its nest. Also caught a glimpse of 2 Golden Eagles. Also saw Grey and Atlantic seals, Red and Fallow deer, Herons, a wide range of birds and flowers. Pete was very patient and considerate companion. Break down the approx 6hr day and the hourly cost was a very reasonable £50, Inc lunch, snacks and hot drinks.

Met Peter as agreed. Their were four of us in the car and we all had a great time. At the second stop he bagged us a white tailed eagle! Travelling to the other side of Mull he spotted some fallow deer and while we were watching these a golden eagle. At the lunch stop, with his rightly praised sandwiches (and his chutney), a couple of hen harriers sky dancing and then a buzzard who took exception! Then onto a white tailed eagle chick in the nest and one of the adults coming back to feed it! We stopped at a loch where others had stopped. A mother otter with two cubs! On the journey back to our cars, a red deer stag and then to a garden with more red deer. Peter is a walking encyclopedia on wildlife and even if you have only a fleeting interest in wildlife then boo a tour with Peter, his knowledge and enthusiasm will pique your interest to appreciate the natural world. This trip is one of the best I've ever had. And he is a Brummie!

Excellent day out with Peter. Nothing is guaranteed on these types of tour, nature isn’t predictable of course! However, a great day out seeing sea eagles, golden eagle, otters, fallow and red deer, jay, etc etc. spectacular scenery, good, knowledgeable conversation. Comfortable journey. How Peter spots the wildlife is down to years of experience. Highly recommended. Thank you Peter, what a wonderful place. Without a knowledgeable local guide, you would have little chance of spotting all of this wildlife! 😃👌
