Discover Mull is a tour with a difference, based in the scenic village of Dervaig. As well as the 50 species of wildlife seen on most of our tours, we will take time to explain the history and geology and to show you the wildflowers that makes Mull...more

A really great day out. There's only so much nature watching you can do without local knowledge. And most of that can be pretty shallow if the expertise is not there either. Both are catered for "in spades" on one of these tours. They are...More
I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. It is a superb way to see the islands wildlife and get an orientation around the northern part of the island discovering some hidden gems along the way. At £40 for 7 hours with food and drink, it’s...More
If you do only one thing on Mull, do this tour. Arthur's knowledge is exceptional and he knows just where to find the most rare and difficult to see animals and birds. Great catering and a thoroughly enjoyable time wildlife spotting while having a laugh...More
We saw everything we had hoped to and more, made even better thanks to Arthurs knowledge of the island and wildlife. He tailored the day to everyones interest and in the end we managed to see golden eagles, white tailed eagles, otter, seals, hen harriers,...More
This was my second time out with Arthur, and it was a wonderfully entertaining and informative experience once again. The weather was pretty atrocious most of the day and to accomplish the sightings we did was very much down to the skill and tenacity of...More
Great tour of the north end of the island. Arthur was an excellent guide and Pam's cakes/soup/sandwiches were delicious. Everything we wanted to see. White Tailed Eagles, Goldies, Hen Harriers (Male and Female), including a prey handover in flight, Red Deer, Fallow Deer and Otters....More
I was initially worried about the arrangements, only revealed the night before, to look after our dog. It was suggested that we leave her in our car, being let out a couple of times to relieve herself. That isn't 'looking after in my book. However,...More
Arthur was the ideal driver/spotter on this day excursion. His local knowledge is abundant, resulting in sightings of nearly all the local wildlife. Pam provides the homemade cakes and sandwiches, these taste as good as they look.

Hi. We didn't go to Duart Castle so I can't comment on that side. In terms of wildlife, you'll see birds, sea-life, deer, etc on a 5 or so hours circular trip. They were very welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable. I don't know if it would matter to you, but I don't think they're originally from Mull, or even from Scotland! But they knew about Mull's history - for example everything related to abandoned villages, the clearances, etc. If you're asking for recommendations about where to see wildlife, they would know all the best spots.
