What a week! Laura, you are a star! The weather was dreadful for most of our stay but you still managed to take us around the beautiful island of Mull and helped us see and get excited about our sightings. Golden eagles, white tailed eagles, hen harriers, red deer, OTTERS! The list goes on. In fact, one of our lovely group reckoned around 70 species were spotted. Your knowledge and keen interest and love for Mull made this a most successful trip, even though we were not able to visit the other islands due to the inclement conditions. We were well looked after at the hotel which was a warm, comfortable place to return to and which offered a great variety of good food which we enjoyed while getting to know the other members in the group. Lunches were provided by the company in individual wicker baskets which ensured each member’s dietary requirements were met. We never went hungry! We wish Mull Wildlife Breaks every success and, to you Laura, we hope your knowledge and expertise allow you to follow a successful and happy career path.

An amazing experience,in a truly spectacular place, guide Laura was well experienced and a relaxed person to lead the trip. I haven't been away for a while, but this trip has woken me up to the majestic spectacle that is the natural environment, thank you .

This was my second holiday with Mull Wildlife Breaks, booked almost as soon as I returned from my first solo trip last July. It was lovely to meet Laura again & to be greeted with a hug - even though she has hundreds of guests every year. My hubby isn't as much into wildlife watching as me, and he'd come prepared with his Kindle just in case he got bored. However, on spotting our first otter his competative streak kicked in and he felt part of a team. For some the accommodation may be basic, but it is clean, cosy, welcoming, and with great food & fab location. Once again Laura's love for and sensitivity to Mull and its fauna and flora enthused the whole group. We have other big holidays planned for next year, but I will not hesitate to book another break with these guys as soon as I can.

If you have even a passing interest in wildlife, this experience is a no brainer. The organisers go out of their way to look after their guests, taking every individual as an individual. We had reasonable weather for the duration so that helped with seeing the wildlife. Of course sometimes the wildlife doesn't want to come out to play but that's part of the experience and when this happens the organisers may arrange to go back to a location. All in all a highly recommended experience for everyone.

This was a great introduction to Mull for a wildlife enthusiast. I wanted to see White tailed Eagles and Scotch Argus butterflies and we saw both on our first afternoon, and there were many more encounters to come. Laura was an enthusiastic and helpful guide, noting our interests and abilities. The group was small enough to become friends. The hotel provided good food and we are still losing weight to get back to where we were before.

I had a magical time on Mull and would thoroughly recommend Mull Wildlife Breaks. Laura was an outstanding guide. She quickly created a warm and friendly atmosphere for the three couples and one independent traveller who had never met before. Laura has great knowledge of all the local flora and fauna and their place in the ecosystem. Yes, we saw the “star attractions” – white-tailed eagle, golden eagle, otters, etc., but it was very satisfying to learn about the “unsung heroes” and even the fungi and lichens, etc. Moreover, Laura provided fascinating insights into the history and culture of Mull and the other islands we visited (Staffa, Lunga and Iona). As a result, I came away with a deep admiration of the islands. To top it off, the hotel (Glenforsa) was great and in a lovely setting, the food was excellent and the packed lunches lovely too! All-in-all, a wonderful experience.

The trip was all highlights really. The boat trip with dolphins, sea eagles, otters, Fingal's cave, the wonderful puffins of Lunga, seals and otter, and so much more. The hotel was basic but very comfortable and the food was magnificent (the chef had worked with Rick Stein, apparently). All through the week our lovely guide and driver Laura was knowledgeable enthusiastic and courteous.

I have just this minute sent Chef Jordan a message to pass on your compliments; he told me he needed to hear that today after a very busy Sunday lunch service! The hospitality roles on Mull have been sorely hit recently and it's nice to read praise for those of us who do still show up!
Of course, the heart of our breaks is the wildlife, which I am happy to read you enjoyed as much as Mull's beauty and surrounding islands.

We can thoroughly recommend Mull Wildlife Breaks having returned from a very enjoyable 5 days.
Pre trip communication is excellent.
Laura was a great guide, full of knowledge about Mull flora and fauna, and what it’s like to be part of the Mull community. Laura was flexible with the itinerary to ensure we got the most out of our time in Mull, and rearranged the days to give us the best chance of decent weather for the boat trip and generally avoiding the awful weather forecast. It’s a relaxed paced trip, we never felt rushed, and the time is spent with the wildlife when its spotted. This resulted in a fabulous 45 mins with 3 otters on one occasion.
The van is very comfortable with sufficient room and Laura is a very considerate driver.
Angela made some cracking lunches to suit everyone's dietary needs all packed in individual picnic baskets. The Glenforsa hotel also had plenty of dinner options. Mull is still reliant on mainland deliveries, but the team ensure there are always options if something is not available.
We liked the Glenforsa hotel location, handy for the beach and evening walks and birdlife. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, and all the staff were welcoming and friendly.
We found Laura, Angela and the Glenforsa hotel are conscious of sustainability and impacts on the environment and economy of Mull. Little touches or comments throughout the trip demonstrated this. E.g. the use of mini picnic baskets and paper.

Great to have this shout-out to sustainability approach too; we try our best to keep the landscape looking as clean as it should. We've got the lunches to a point where every element is recyclable or reusable now so thank you again for noticing!

This was our second trip with Mull Wildlife Breaks. We had to cut short our first but really wanted to revisit, and we were not disappointed! Had a fabulous time got to see otters & eagles and made it to Iona this time round.
Laura was a great guide skilfully navigating the roads but still spotting the animals & birds and giving a running commentary. Boat trip was great and got close up to the puffins.
Iona was a beautiful and tranquil and glad we finally got to see it
Could easily have spent longer there, but there is so much to see around Mull
Angela provided lovely packed lunches. You are asked beforehand about dietary requirements and any particular dislikes so everyone has their own tailored lunchbag.
Steve provides plenty of communication behind and will
answer any questions.
The Glenforsa Hotel used as the base is in an idea location for the trip. It's in a beautiful spot and the staff are all friendly & helpful.
The others in our group were good fun, we were soon comparing notes and swapping stories!
If you are thinking of taking this trip, just go ahead a book
..they fill up quickly 🦭

Mull Wildlife Breaks
Lynda and I had a memorable holiday that we shall both cherish forever.
We are not bird spotters or photographers, just average nature lovers.
We were met off the ferry by Laura, and after coffee and cake we were informed of the week’s itinerary. Even when life changed these plans, the team kept us UpToDate.
Laura, the very knowledgeable, professional and lovely guide, included everyone in our party of 7 and brought us all together, regardless of our knowledge or experience.
Her breath of knowledge is astounding. From Golden Eagles to ivy-leaved toadflax and everything in between. Laura is undoubtedly a diamond in the team that Steve Blazye has at Mull Wildlife Breaks.
We saw around 80 species of birds and mammals on our holiday. For me the best are the Raptors, Bottle-nosed Dolphins and the lovable Puffins.
Mull’s scenery is just as amazing as the variety of birds.
If you love beautiful, lush vistas and/or wildlife this is a must-do holiday.
Tomorrow is always a new adventure. So, why not give this a go?
