Sharon, our tour guide could answer every question my very inquisitive husband threw at her. I enjoy a drop of whisky, and now understand so much more about the drink. Just 7 people produce the whisky! The tasting was fun...and we came away after a very pleasant hour with a bottle of Ledaig and some lovely glasses. The tour added... More

I like a wee dram bout am not an expert. A quick tasting session, ad-hoc, in the shop taught me I like the light flavours but not the peaty ones. A bottle in my bag and away we went.

If you are going to Tobermory then a visit to the Distillery is one of the very few things you can do there. In general, Tobermory is not worth a visit unless you like a long strip of touristy shops. The Distillery is interesting though and something different to do. It is quite small and they do groups so you... More

Visited the Tobermory distillery on a long weekend break to Tobermory. Booked the tour in advance but as is was nearer the end of the summer season it was only myself and my husband on the tour. Our tour guide was an American lady, who was very knowledgeable about the distillery, whisky production and the area. All the staff in... More

The tour of the distillery was a lot more interesting than those of the larger computerised distilleries. It is now owned by one of the large conglomerates but the style in which the whisky is made hasn't changed. The tour guide was very informative and able to answer all our questions. The real bonus was the tasting as the whisky... More

A very enjoyable visit to the Tobermory distillery. The guide (Sharyn I think?) was extremely knowledgeable and answered all the questions people were asking. The actual tour lasts around 40 minutes and then you have the tasting. I had the "two dram" tour (£10) which allows you to sample both the 10 year old Tobermory and Ledaig single malts. Once... Great little distillery with interesting facts about the area and the village through the times , gift shop is small but you can grab a souvenir without robbing a bank , but I wouldn't pay £2500 for a bottle of whiskey single malt or not .

Birthday treat for my Husband. Had a great guide, lots of information and learnt so much about the brewery. Very enjoyable,. The tasting sessions as the ending were very positive and we could not leave without the purchase of a bottle.

This group visit to a traditional small production distillery was a delight. The young lady who took us round was superbly knowledgeable and added greatly to the experience and the sampling definitely not to be missed.
