We booked the day tour (8 hours). The weather was amazing and the sea was calm. The boat drove the whole way to the Isle of Coll. On our way we saw white tailed eagle sitting on the cliff, seals, guillimot, arctic terns, shags, gannets and purpoises. The staff provided a lot of information. Although the sighting conditions were great,... More

We went on the 4 hour trip on a sunny day . The leaflet said to take warm clothing but should have suggested waterproofs as I ended up absolutely soaked ! It didn't spoil the experience though and we ended up seeing dolphins playing alongside the boat , a whale in the distance and seals sunning themselves on rocks .... More

My husband and I went on the Sea life Surveys 5 hour tour as we have always wanted to do a whale watch and so glad we chose Sea life Surveys. The staff were very passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife and the local area, guiding the passengers on what to look for when spotting a variety of wildlife such... More

Just returned from a five hour trip with Sealife Surveys from Tobermory. What a fabulous day ! On the way out to Coll we saw numerous sea birds and seals plus a few porpoises. Then we found ourselves surrounded by literally hundreds of dolphins, some in the distance, some right up close. They were amazing. Then along came a minke... More

Had a great 5 hour expedition and saw Eagles and Seals in their natural environment as well as some great Birds. Although we were not fortunate enough to see any Whales, Porpoises, Sharks or Orca it was still a really good day with people who are so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

OK, it's easy to write a rave review when you've seen close up Basking Sharks, Common Dolphins bow-riding the boat, lots of porpoises, Otters and Sea Eagles, but those things are not in the gift of the organisation, so what makes this company so good (and better than other good operators in Tobermory) is the staff, who were safety-oriented, patient,... If you have never done one of these before, pack plenty to eat, clothes for all weather and sun screen. It might be worth taking travel sickness pills too as many on our trip were quite poorly and it would be a shame to have your trip spoiled. The guides and spotters were excellent and enthusiastic and knowledgeable. There was... More

The 5-hour family whale watch trip was a fabulous day out with Sea Life Survey. It can be booked on line which was very convenient and we picked a day with an excellent weather forecast - although there is a cabin for shelter. The crew were knowledgeable and always pointing out anything of potential interest, and sometimes as excited as... More

What a fantastic trip. Did the family whale watching tour today with 2 teenagers. We all had such an amazing time. Spotted white tailed sea eagles shortly after leaving Tobermory then further round the coast. So lots of seals in one loch then headed out towards Coll. We ended up in the middle of upto 300 common dolphins. It was... More

Great day trip. Knowledgeable crew. Overall a good day out. Unfortunately no whales spotted this time but that's just luck of the day. However, we did spot a basking shark, many seals, an otter, white tailed sea eagles and many other sea birds. So we weren't too disappointed.
