Small museum crammed with information about the Isle of Mull and its people through the ages.

Open again and as welcoming to visitors as ever, though masks and social distancing in place. Helpful volunteers will answer your questions.

We just went in to kill some time out of the rain, but glad we did. The man in charge was full of knowledge, very welcoming and excellent engaging the children. There's plenty to see and some activities for the children too. Donations are welcomed for the museum's upkeep.

Fascinating

This small museum is packed with fascinating items about the history and life of Mull. We went there towards the end of our week on the island after having been out and about quite a bit, and the Museum made the connections for us. It's obviously run with care and enthusiasm by local volunteers so many thanks to them. There's no charge but they welcome donations.

Very interesting!

I visited the Museum while my beloved went to the Distillery. I was enthralled but had to keep leaving to meet him, and his new friends, for lunch. The meeting time kept being delayed, so I could study more, but unfortunately I didn't manage to finish everything. I will be back.

Tobermory past..
Sep 2019 • Couples
We popped in to this little museum whilst staying in Tobermory.

It is a wonderful look back over Tobermory and Mulls past, with lots of interesting artefacts, memorabilia and local history - we really liked the photo album created by the ‘lads’ from Glasgow.. fantastic.. The chap in the museum was a lovely host. We didn’t get his name (ex Helensburgh) but as soon as he new we were from the area (Arrochar), we were immediately good friends. He’s a star.

Highly recommended museum..

Thank you

We were walking along the main street of Tobermory and came across this place. Free entry with a barrel for donations and a friendly lady at the front counter. We took about 30mins reading and looking at everything

So well arranged
Sep 2019
The museum is obviously a work of love by many people. A lot of the information signs are hand written. It is small but very well arranged so it gives a full history of the area, people who have lived there and events that have happened. It is well worth a visit and it is free.
