Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went out with Stuart and Lou on a 12 seater rib on a beautiful sunny day. The water was smooth and clear. We were treated to a fantastic trip, seeing sea eagles, a golden eagle, seals, a minke whale and more dolphins than we could count. The dolphins played in the wake and came right up alongside to say hello. Stuart and Lou were tremendous guides and entertained us throughout. We would recommend this trip to anybody.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Seafari experience, very comfortable craft, great information on the history, geography and wildlife of the area. I thought at one hour and forty five minutes it was an ideal period for the excursion.

Now obviously the weather plays a big part but Lou and Stewart are an excellent on board team. Not sure whether the wildlife is paid to put in an appearance but we certainly got our moneys worth. And the information regarding the geography, geology and local history is amazing. Would definitely take a trip again. And of course they couldn't do it with out Harriet and her mother-in-law who wouldn't shut up long enough to get her name... Brilliant...

From start to finish the tour was fantastic and the guide very informative. His knowledge of the local geology of the island was great and made the tour extra enjoyable when the wildlife is hiding. The views are second to none and would be worth it even if you saw no wildlife at all. We were fortunate enough to sea a pair of sea eagles, other semi acoustic birds and to top it off, a huge 100+ pod of common dolphins expertly spotted by the guide and boat captain/driver. They interacted with the boat for a good 20 mins to top off an amazing holiday. Cheers. We will be back.

I was a little skeptical about this boat trip (the 3 hour Kilt Rock trip) as it's really quite expensive, but was very pleasantly surprised by the amazing experience we has. Used an app on my mobile phone to track us, we clocked 74 kilometres, heading from Portree north up the Skye coast to Kilt Rock, then across to Rona island and back past Raasay to finish again at Portree.
It was a very fine day and the views of Skye from the boat were SO amazingly good and gave us a totally unique perspective not possible any other way. We also saw two sea eagles (one very close up), a small basking shark, a pod of dolphins (one of them jumping out of the water many times), lots of seals and sea birds. We went partway into a small sea cave and into a "secret" inlet with its own small waterfall at the end.
It's cold in the breeze as this boat (a RIB) goes fast (up to 60km/hour on our tour), but very good quality waterproof coats are supplied, as are binoculars. Even the seats are very comfortable. Highly recommended on a fine day.

We went on the 1hr 45 min wildlife seafari and it was one of the highlights of our time in Skye! We not only saw rare white-tailed eagles, but came across a huge pod (30 at least) of friendly dolphins - twice! Our tour guide was also very informative, teaching us about the geology as well as the history. Would highly recommend this as a way to spend an afternoon and see the isle from a different perspective!

A great trip with loads to see. We even saw dolphins swimming next to the boat.

We also saw deer, waterfalls, loads of sea birds and enjoyed an exhilarating ride.
