The Snizort river rushes past, you're on a tiny little island in the middle of it, there is an old ruined church and gravestones and the carving of an ancient warrior. If early history is an interest, then well worth a look. Not wildly scenic landscape around...More

Since we were staying about a mile away we figured we’d try to give a little more direction on how to get to this little island with the knight’s effigy and other old graves. From Portree head towards Carbost on A87 to A850 towards Skeabost....More

Hard to find if you don't know where it is but that adds to its charm as it's not full of tourists just off their mini bus! Come here for peace and tranquility.

A pleasant walk from Skeabost Hotel. Interesting tombstones. Good views over the river and moorland. Would recommend.

Take a walk before breakfast and earn that huge assortment of temptations. An old resting place, you can almost hear the bagpipes playing as you wander around.

Off the tourist trail and not marked from the main road this is one of the last really peaceful historic places left on Skye. Do your research and make the effort it’s worth it. Peace, quiet and lots of historical interest, don’t forget your camera.

Very interesting graveyard: complete with friendly cows. This is withing walking distance of Skeabost Hotel and along the way, you see a lovely river.

I almost hesitate to rate it because it is well-hidden and not over-run as many historic attractions are...but it is not my secret to keep. I do love old cemeteries and gorgeous, dramatic rivers so perhaps this is why I loved this site so much....More

While a cemetery might not hold much appeal for some tourists, I enjoy history and was interested to include this on a walk from Skeabost Hotel (don't bother with staying there!) the access is much easier than we were led to believe from other reviews...More

Do the requisite research so you know how to find this location and read up on the history beforehand. Not exactly for the less than mobile but an easy walk nevertheless.
