I know it's only a road, but it's a fascinating and challenging drive, with some fabulous views over the Minch, and I was lucky enough to see some golden eagles, great drive, great views, and well worth the detour if youre in the region

The west side of Harris has white sandy beaches but the east side has the amazing golden road, a long single track road winding through the rocky terrain, loved driving along it, well worth it.
