Enjoy a guided whisky & gin tasting tour through Isle of Raasay Distillery and into our tasting room where you’ll be offered a complementary dram of Isle of Raasay Single Malt or Isle of Raasay Gin. The Isle of Raasay Distillery welcomes visitors from around the globe with any level of whisky knowledge, from the curious to the connoisseur. As you pass the all-important copper pot stills, you will catch sight of the incredible view across to Skye, arguably the best from any Scottish distillery. The Isle of Raasay Distillery visitor centre includes a well-stocked gift shop of whisky and distillery merchandise. Pick up something to remember your visit by or share your experience with friends and family back home. Our visitor centre is also home to our cocktail bar, offer a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails featuring our award-winning Isle of Raasay Gin and Isle of Raasay Single Malt.

The best tour we have ever had!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, interesting and personable. The history of the area was a great plus. The tour of the distillery was great. Loved looking into the vats. Our lunch afterwards was delicious. All staff were very friendly.

We had a great private tasting in a beautiful setting. The entire distillery is actually brand new and was built with a lot of attention to detail.
The guy who did the tasting was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Raasay distillery and products.
Well worth a visit, also because the trip by ferry from the Isle of Skye is really beautiful and easy to book! Upon arrival on the Isle of Raasay it's only a 5-10 minute walk, slightly uphill.

Nov 10-11, 2023, I was at Isle of Raasay destillery with 3 god friends.
What a fantastic journey.
A complete crew and destillery of total dedication and knowledge.
So fantastic place and whisky.
Nb food there at the restaurant wow 😊😊😊😊
I even had to invest in a full cask, so I for future can come there more often.
A dream of a journey, you should try it
I am a dedicated ambassador for all future for Raasay destillery.

Great visit! Amazing tour and guide with great spirits to try (and chocolates!). The food was amazing and the design of the building is lovely, making the most of it's beautiful surroundings

Without doubt the highlight of our whisky tour. Fantastic staff, friendly and enthusiastic. Knowledgable, bright and fun.
Best tasting I have done in as long as I can remember. Magnificent location. And greatttt food. Some of the best food I have had in Scotland.

Hello,
I am going to Scotland in September 21-27 - staying primarily in Glasgow- but would like to go to Raasay while I am there. I am looking for suggestions of the best way to get there? My ancestors come from Raasay, so I would like to spend at least half of the day exploring the Island but would be willing to stay overnight in the area if it would be too rushed trying to get there and back to Glasgow the same day. Do you know of any tour companies that do day tours to Raasay? or can I take a train or bus from Buchanan Street to Sconsor and take the ferry to Raasay on my own? Just not sure of the availability of bus/trains going back to Glasgow in the evening. I would appreciate any suggestions /information from someone that knows the area. Thank you in advance. Carolyn

I'd be tempted to hire a car...
It'd be tough using public transport and I'd say basically impossible to do a return trip in a single day on public transport. Probably tough in two days of you want to spend any meaningful time on Raasay.
I mean it's a 5 hour drive from Glasgow to Sconser by car one way...
But if you're looking for buses there's a Citylink bus (916) from Glasgow to Uig on Skye. Sets off at 0645 and gets to Portree 13:40 barring any delays.
The 915 leaves at 10:00 and gets to Portree at 17:00.

As for staying over, there's the lovely y Raasay House, and Raasay Distillery had a small hotel (4 rooms I think) both look very nice.
Of course an alternative would be to stay close by on Skye, Broadford or Portree for example there's lots of scope of you plan ahead.
But back to my original point... It'll be difficult to do in a day by car, probably almost impossible by public transport.

Hello, Will the bar be open on a Sunday? We are planning to stay there in July for 2 nights, from Saturday to Monday morning, and it looks like both the tours and bars are closed at the distillery in Winter. Will they be open in July? Thank you!

When we were there last July they operated an honesty bar after 8 pm. You help yourself, sign for any drinks taken then pay in the morning when you check out.
