Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely stunning beach with white sand and beautiful blue waters. We came down from the footpath on the right of the beach (from Sheigra Campsite) and the view walking down toward the beach was amazing. We took our shoes off and went for a little paddle even though the weather was pretty awful - it just looked so good! I would definitely recommend this beach - the only downside for me, was coming from the hills there appeared to be a dead whale washed up in the corner of the beach, that was mostly bones but had quite a strong smell (I suppose that might be interesting for some?) however it's easily avoidable, especially if you come from the direction of the car park!

Absolutely beautiful, stunning beach! Clear, see-through water, white sand - feels like I am sitting on a beach somewhere in Mauritius! kids loved it as well and we had amazing weather.

Beautiful beach, one of the best in the area. No wc although olshoremore has one so not a disaster. Path isn't as bad as expected.

Visited Polin beach yesterday with my wife so we could take our dog for a walk , parked in the car park at the top and then it’s a 5 minute walk through some fields until you get onto the beach.Absolutely beautiful, I’ve been to some lovely beaches in the world but this is up there with any of them. We were the only people on the beach , well worth a visit , we will definitely be back.

Staying at a self-catering bungalow at Oldshorebeg, Polin was within walking distance; well worth a visit.

If you want to find this beach you carry on past the more popular Oldshoremore and take road marked for Polin Beach. There is free parking but no facilities. You just follow the track to the beach through a couple of gates and close them of-course, there might be sheep in the fields. If bringing a dog keep it on the lead until you get to the beach and then you can let it loose. The beach itself is beautiful and you can easily walk from one end to the other it does not take that long. The day I was here the tide was out and I was able to walk quite far out. Great place for children and adults alike just remember to come prepared for changing weather.

One of my favourite Scottish beaches. Very few people even in midsummer . Just past Oldshoremore in the next bay down to the left .It is signposted and there is a car park but no facilities.Access is over farmland through a series of gates .The path is easy to follow but quite steep in places .There is a park bench overlooking the beautiful vista of the beach. Just perfect

I stumbled upon this wee gem of a beach not too long ago, just exploring the area. While the well-known beach at Oldshoremore had sixty plus people on it, this was deserted. Such a beautiful beach, and the lack of tourists just added to it.

Pink sand, turquoise water and blue skies framed by Lewisian Gneiss outcrops and not soul to be seen. As close to a tropical paradise as can be found in these isles, with the possible exceptions of a beach or two on Berneray and Harris.

a July day 22c sunny and not a soul on it, incredible , to experience a totally deserted beach that would fit in nicely in the Bahamas

Visited here whilst stopping in nearby Oldshoremore. Accessed via a footpath which takes you down to the beach itself. A large beach which we had to ourselves and the dog. Sands pristine and clean condition.
