Taking a privately guided tour with Toby was magnificent! We learned so much in one day. Being able to see several distilleries and the cooperage was such an education. Toby knows everyone! His extensive knowledge of the industry, area, people, process, and history made the day so interesting. I highly recommend booking with Toby - treat yourself to a wonderful experience!

Toby is an original! He knows everybody and everything in the Speyside region (and probably Scotland for that matter) and very obviously loves what he is doing. Great sense of humor, fun to be around, very sincere and honest. We learned a ton, had a great time and are highly recommending him!

We had such a fun and memorable whisky tour with Toby. After booking a private tour, he and his wife put together a thoughtful personal itinerary for my husband and I. We visited many of the major distilleries that we’d heard of (Macallan, Glenlivet) but also saw some smaller distilleries like Aberlour. Macallan was fun to see and they had some very interesting architecture, but we really enjoyed the more personal service we got at the smaller distilleries. Regardless of the distillery, though, Toby made sure we had a great experience. And it wasn’t just about the whisky. We also learned about Scottish culture, the history of the area, and the local flora and fauna. Toby has a wealth of knowledge that he’s eager to share. All in all, I’d highly recommend you book a tour with him and have your own magical Speyside experience!

Absolutely fantastic trip through the Speyside region of Whiskey making...our tour was completely individual and put together so well...couldn’t have been better Our guide Mr Digby truly made the tour the best. His wit charm and ability to connect with the locals made it an unbelievably individualized experience. I would challenge people to find a better guide in the area Can’t recommend any more highly! Wish everyone could have the same wonderful experience

Our knowledgable guide for the day was Derek and holds the honor of Keeper of the Quaich. I will leave it up to you to look that up. Anyway, my wife and I are knowledgable of scotches and have travelled Scotland previously visiting distilleries, so we were mainly interested in a driver who knew their way around and could set up our tour so we could visit the distilleries in reasonable order. Having Derek for the day was a significant upgrade over what we were expecting and he was a very interesting and informative guide!! Derek added a lot of insight of the experience! Toby arranged the tour and the timeline was precisely as he outlined. Our schedule was tight so we only had one day in Speyside, but we packed in four distilleries, the Speyside Copperage, and a great lunch at The Castle Hotel in Huntly. Of the distilleries, all met expectations, but we really enjoyed GlenDronach which is one of our favorites! I would not hesitate to book with Speyside Whisky Tours and if Toby cannot guide you, you would not be disappointed with Derek!
