Fabulous Beach with Seals
Aug 2021
Well signposted off the coastal trail north of Aberdeen. This really is a seal beach, with large free car park and easy footpath to the beach and the seals who were basking in the sun as it was low tide.

A truly beautiful beach with lots of wildlife. An absolute joy to visit.

Seals
Jul 2021
Driving to Peterhead and noticed a sign saying "seals" Had heard of a beach with seals but thanks to this sign we would probably have driven past. A short walk from the car park and you were on the beach. We saw the seals swimming and popping their head out the water but sadly it was not a warm day so none basking in the sun on the beach. We went back again on way home from Peterhead but still none. Lovely walk on the beach and will definitely return if we're ever up there again.

Fantastic beach with added seals
May 2021
The seal beach is across the estuary from Newburgh beach and is a protected area for the seals to raise their young away from curious humans and dogs, We have been visiting here over the last 20 years and are now seeing the seals have moved away from where they were always resting to an area on the North Sea coast a few hundred metres up from the mouth of the river and thus further away from visitors. I dont know if this is a temporary move or if they will be back next year. Even without the seals not very visible there are still plenty of them in the water obseving us as we watch them , the beach itself is a glorious stretch of golden sand that goes all the way to Aberdeen 10 miles south and is a fantastic place to chill and relax

This was our second visit and will not be our last. This place is amazing-hundreds of seals. We loved watching them move from sea to land. Great for the whole family and the dog was fine on a short lead as well.

A great opportunity to spot the seals and be in the nature. Great location for a beach stroll. Easy access - we went with a bus from Aberdeen.

So many seals!
Oct 2020
So many seals! We arrived on a Sunday, and although the beach was busy there were still lots of seals in the bay. It was amazing to watch them bob about. We went for a short walk around the beach and back again.
