About
Fyne Ales is located on a working farm in Argyll at the head of Loch Fyne, an area renowned for its excellent natural produce. We are a team who are passionate about brewing outstanding and progressive craft ales.We have a great bar on site, where you can sit and enjoy a tasting flight of a selection of our beers, or a few pints of your favourite. We also serve beef pies made from our own highland beef, which is also available to buy in the shop. Brewery tours can be arranged when the Brewers are available.

- KillielizKilmarnock, United Kingdom13 contributionsNICE SURPRISE FINDPopped in on way past to visit the shop. The Bar man, as he called himself, was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Had a bit of banter with him, whilst trying some samples of their ales. Did purchase from them, happy with the product and service. However, we weren't sure we were headed to the right place, as it is up what looks like a farm road, but still worth the visit.Visited March 2023Written 21 March 2023
- David LCastle Douglas, United Kingdom43 contributionsIf you like great craft beer!We have driven passed a few times over the last couple of years but always just too late to safely take the access road. I had enjoyed a pint of their IPA at the Colintraive Hotel the previous evening so set of for lunch at Loch Fyne intent on finding the "source" It is well signposted from the main road and then a further 4 or 500 metres down a gravel track to the brewery - as it says, in a farm! but with all the tech that goes with brewing. The bar and shop are really well fitted out.....we simply didn't have enough time to fully explore everything on offer, well staffed and all very helpful, outdoor beer garden, huge choice of beers and packaging..........carried some home and resolved to head back soon.Visited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 July 2023
- christina b1 contributionOktoberfestWent to Oktoberfeat on Saturday the 30th of September. Fantastic little brewery, on an amazing plot of farm land! The staff were outstanding, they were dressed up for the occasion and so friendly, I had my 5 year old twins with me and they had plenty of large outdoor toys to keep them entertained, live music, a wonderful pizza stand and a brownie stand that had food to die for with beverages to match, I was on the coffee, which was also very nice despite it not being their main seller. I throughly enjoyed taking my parents and my kids there, we will be back very soon!Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 October 2023

Beer was great, the inside of the bar is quite small with few tables which were all occupied so we sat outside with our two dogs. We bought a few more bottles for gifts and the evening. Staff were helpful. Dog friendly.

Warm welcome when we arrived early for our 3pm tour.
Tasted a couple of ales and bought a T Shirt prior to the tour
Tour was informative and host was very good
Small group on tour of about 8 people so we were able ask lots of questions
We also got to see the cattle and deer held in the sheds (as it was January and snowing)
Great beer, great tour & great Brewery tap would highly recommend visiting the Brewery tap even if you don't do the tour as it is a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

Popped in to sample and browse. Came away with a little collection of ales and stout. Have since tried the Imperial stout - wow. Absolutely lovely. Yet to try the all the ales, but based on ones so far am not going to be disappointed. Lovely beer garden on site.

This is one of our favourite ever places, a small independent brewery a little way up the Glen from Cairndhu, it has the best beers anywhere, a lovely bar and shop, brewery tours, wonderful walks from the doorstep, a wonderful beer music and food festival (FyneFest) every year. I cannot praise it highly enough.

Thoroughly enjoyable visit. Spent a few house in their tap room sampling the beers and the staff were happy to give us a commentary on all of them.

Brilliant visit to the tap house for some ales, excellent selection and great variety, we had slabs of 5 so lots of different ones to try. The driver in our party also got some great non-alcoholic beers to try. Friendly bar manager made some great suggestions and we had a great chat about the brewery and farm. Left with some beers and can't wait to visit again. Would definitely recommend!

Could we bring our (friendly and well behaved) dog on the tour?

Don't know if I am too late to answer this, but dogs are very welcome in the brewery tap, but not allowed in production areas so wouldn't be able to come on the tour. Hope to see you here. Jamie

Hi, we liked Inveraray, a bit of a drive for you howeverbut if the weather is good it's worth it.
Also on that road there's Loch Fyne store and restaurant if you like seafood, other shops there also.
If you like walks look up Pucks Glen, a woodland managed by foresty commission.
I found websites of the Argyll and Bute area and Visit Scotland which gave me ideas.
Hope that helps.
