Robert runs a great service to see wildlife on his Jura explorer from Craighouse. We went this week at 5 pm when enough people arrived and had an excellent and exciting hour on his fast boat. We saw sea eagles, lots of seals and feral goats. Plenty of local chat about the area. Recommend. Signboards at the local shop for information.

Staying on Jura for the week, the Corryvrecken is one of the world's wonders which must not be missed! We were very fortunate with the weather on our trip with an added bonus of dolphins, seals and sea eagles to see.

We had heard about people paying £40 each (£30 for children) to go on a boat tour however we had read that you can also hike there for free (well £22 return car ferry for 3 people). The walk took us abut 2 hours to arrive at the secluded beach where we could see the whirlpool and a family of seals. There was a perfect lunch spot where we lay for about an hour watching the boats come and go, and the seals swimming about. The walk back took us slightly longer but this was more due to the 24 degree heat. The car journey to the end of the road was also enjoyable, and we saw plenty of deer on the way as well. Would definitely recommend walking if you can, but would be too much for young children.
