We had long wanted to visit here and spent a couple of days exploring the network of footpaths. Nicely laid out and accessible with good signage. A successful visit and one worth repeating.

We visited on a bright sunny day. Walked along the path and took the path leading down to the river. The gorse was out which gave it a splash of colour. Did part of the fairies walk as well. There are benches and the views...More

5km woodland and riverside loop from the car park, taking in oak and birch trees, streams and small waterfalls!

Had a beautiful walk around the reserve, scenery is wonderful. It’s quite boggy along the riverside of the walk so beware. It’s such a nice sound to hear the river as you walk by it. Walking in the woods was nice as it offered some...More

As a layman in terms of hillwalking this walk was superb for me. Nice and easy, plenty wildlife (buzzards overhead, chaffinches, mega mushrooms and flora). Even in wet weather this walk was great and not at all too strenuous. Enjoy.

If you like walking then give this place a go. The walk around the forest trail up and down the valley is an excellent way to get your daily exercise. Its about 3 miles in total and no steep climbs.

I sorry but whilst some of the path may be suitable most of it is a narrow path through fields.
