Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I took the bus from Tobermory to Calvary on Mull. It was a wonderful little trip and the driver Richard was fantastic! I have mobility issues and Richard was helpful from the beginning. He was also very good at pointing out places of interest and the best views. I felt like I had a personal tour guide. Can't recommend it enough.

What a surprise it was to find that the Isle of Bute had an open top bus . Unlike major cities it had live speaker who was friendly , very knowledgeable and entertaining. Iain went the extra mile to make sure guests felt valued and comfortable. This was actually my second visit this summer. It was so good I brought a friend along. I had never been round the island before and was astounded at how beautiful it is. I will certainly be back to the island on a regular basis . Super day out desire the rain the second time around . Highly recommend this tour.

Hop On Hop Off open bus tour. Highly recommended as a great way to see around the island. Ian our driver was excellent at local history and keeping us right at the stops we got off at and his timing was great. A great way to spend the day and explore.

A great way to see and hear about the Isle of Bute. We learned about its history and geography and were signposted to various places to learn more. Our driver, Ian, was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

We climbed on board at noon and we where entertained from then on fron Ian the driver and Butes mastermind. His knowledge was amazing and the Island is beautiful. He dropped us off at Mount Stewart at 1pm and picked us up spot on 3.30 pm then continued the tour. The tour and Ian are 1st Class.
Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

I've been on a number of open top bus tours over the years. I've always enjoyed them, but non so much as the one I took with my family yesterday. Bute is an true hidden gem but Ian, our driver and host really knows how to bring out the very best of the island for the passengers. He's a knowledgeable, friendly, funny man. From the moment you walk on until you finish your journey, his enthusiasm and all round demeanour are amazing.
Ian is a gem, just like the island.
Thanks Ian. We'll definitely see you again.

How many people can go on each tour?
I really can only do 11.30 tour but website states you can’t book a specific time!
I’ve bought tickets for 4 but concerned we might not get on bus,

We went on this tour on Tuesday, there is plenty of seats but only about 20 seats are outside upstairs, all the rest are under cover, we missed 1130 bus due to the ferry foot passenger capacity of 84, so just get there early is my advice.
