My mum and I went to the visit centre to watch the video footage of Rothesay in the 50’s. My mum used to holiday in Rothesay when she was a little girl and enjoyed reminiscing.

What a great place to visit, it was very interesting listening to the recording of Johnny Beattie telling you all about the place and the people who preformed there in the past.

This is another great piece of architecture and is ideal to spend some time if the weather turns. Some interesting exhibits show the town in its heyday.

I have never seen a car hire place on Bute but I'm sure you can hire from Glasgow or as the other answers say there are good local bus & taxi companies on the Island. Hope this helps
